Congrats! I am right behind you, hoping to get my case number and IIN soon.

You may want to join the following thread for all NVC updates:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/551109-nvc-filers-june-2015/page-45

And for the case number:

How to Find Out WHEN Your Case Number was Assigned

For those that don't call every single day and want to know exactly what date their case number was assigned, there's an easy way to find out that simply involves looking at your case number. The first three letters are the three-letter consulate/embassy code. The next four numbers are the year the case number was assigned. The next three numbers are the Julian date it was assigned, plus 500. And finally, the last three numbers are the sequential order of when it was assigned that date. You can find a chart with Julian dates here [12].

For example: MTL2014815162. Let's put some lines in to divide it up. So: MTL|2014|815|162. This means that this case is going through Montreal and the number was assigned on November 11th, 2014, and it was the 162nd case that day to be assigned a number.

Sauce: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Hope everybody gets their approvals soon! Good luck!

OHMYGOODNESS, I actually got through to NVC last night and very strange how it happened because, I called the number and waited, and, was a bit pre-occupied and then heard it ring and I started to panic. Then, there was silence and I thought I lost the call so, I hung up, and, then!! my phone rang, and, it was NVC - OY!!

Anyways, they gave me both my Case # and IIN # woo hoo.

Someone once had on here what the number meant, does any know or remember?? MTL-2015-XXX-XXX

Also, does anyone know, if everything is accepted at NVC (approximately how long does that take?

and

From the time it is approved at NVC and forwarded to Montreal, approx how long does that take for interview.

I'm trying to make a rough time line here.....
Thank you!! : )

Things are moving along for a lot of us folks!! Exciting.

And for those still waiting, take courage, it will happen, we were where you are too and thought the day would never come, but, it is now approaching.

Hi, All,

My update:

My case has been transferred to SF office:

5/27 Sent out RFE: evidence of marriage, we gave them all the evidences that normally are presented during the interview.

(We haven't gotten our interview yet. We were notified that we have potential interview waiver.)

6/19 RFE for I-485: medical evaluation expired

6/23 my husband received I-130 approved (says it doesn't mean my status adjustment is approved)

So...hopefully after I send out the medical evaluation, I'll get my I-485 approved soon!

5/07/2014 Got Married! F1 student with OPT

5/30/2014 I485 fingerprint fee received

6/30/2014 Biometrics done

7/30/2014 OPT Expired

8/11/2014 EAD card approved

2/18/2015 Immigration Services Officer told my congresswoman that my case is PIW

2/23/2015 My lawyer said my case is in NYC field office (not sure if it's true)

Has anyone had any luck with completing their DS260 on NVC web site? My case has been at NVC since April, I was not able to pay my AOS and IV fees online due to NVC experiencing so called technical issues. I spoke to a supervisor and she stated that I can mail both fees which I did. It took them two weeks to process my payment. I still can't access the DS260 online, I've called again today and asked if I can just download the DS260 (visa application form) and fill it manually but the agent said it needs to be done online. I've asked to speak to a supervisor but he said there weren't any available supervisors. Is it true that DS260 can only be completed online? It is veryyyyyyyy frustrating that I have been waiting for more than 2 months to pay fees and submit visa application. Can I just go ahead and mail them my supporting documents and financial documents now even though I haven't submitted my DS260 yet? Please help!....

My NOA2 was June 19th. I just got an email today saying it had been forwarded to the state department..from there we should be getting case numbers. I'm not going to make any calls until I get that number, because you won't have any reference.

receive noa2 on 6/25/2015, receive noa2 hard copy 6/29, how long should i wait before i start calling nvc, and applying for police cetificate

Awesome! If you signed up to receive text/email from them they should send you a text that they sent everything to NVC. That's what they did to me. Mine was approved the 23rd of April, got a text May 4th saying they sent to NVC. So I waited about 1-2 weeks to finally give them call to see if they received it.

Greetings,

I have a question and hopefully someone can answer it for me. I've just finished a year long contract work at a corporation back in May. Now I receive unemployment payments, would that be a problem for my husband's pending NVC case? I've paid both fees and waiting for NVC web site to allow me to fill out the DS-260 (there have been long going technical issues with the site). I than need to send in the financial documents. If I don't find a job by then would that cause problems with my husband's case? Has anyone tried submitting unemployment insurance as a source of income?
