Yeah it sure is! I just wonder when someone will actually look at our case. I must check online about 6 times a day hoping to see a different message ???

lol no worries but yeah so you've waited for about a month so one down plenty to go . Every month is a step though .

I did the same thing I was like a drug addict with the computer and my phone checking but one day I went the whole day without looking just enjoying the day and came home late and checked, it will always be when you least expect it . You'll do the same thing at the nvc as well . Always checking haha .

It's not that I'm trying to rush the process or expecting my case to be priority over others ?

I just want to know what's going on with it.

Online just tells me that my case was received and that's it. Our hard copy of the NOA says Nebraska at the bottom of the letter near the bar coded area but how do we know that it's actually there?

it's there collecting dust day by day lol, and sadly it will never change unless you get a rfe which hopefully you won't or it gets approved otherwise you will see the same thing for about the next 5,000 times your going to probably check in the next few months . I can't even imagine how many times I checked .

I know it is very hard and frustrating.. but I have been checking almost every day for 278 days and it has done nothing but stress me, sadden me, dissapoint me, frustrate me, etc. etc. etc.

I really know how you feel - we can all relate. But a good recommendation is to sign up for automatic updates via mobile or email and just froget about it. It could take 5 months if you are lucky, it will take over a year if you are not. Nobody can tell for sure what is going on unless you submit a service request if and when it is past the pocessing time or they give you an RFE or they approve you.

Best of luck!

Hello all you Nebraska Service Centre people!! Just wondering if the dates they suggest on this website on our time lines is accurate. Has anyone found it to be significantly off on the dates? And, how do they determine the dates the Service Centres are working on? According to this website, Nebraska is working on the date December 5th. What do you think??????????/

Wishing everyone all the best! : )

the dates are just estimates. However the dates on this site are more accurate then the dates on the USCIS website. If you look at other member time- lines similar to yours. Then you can get a fairly good ideal about how long the process will take

We are now on December 7th 2014 ppl ?

Let's hope they get to April 2015 super fast ?

It's strange though as I've seen quite a few timelines with UK beneficiaries seem to only be waiting a few months at the NSC?

Anyone else notice this?

Nebraska filers family... after 9 months and a week waiting, we got this reply from NVC email...

Should we be happy now since it does not make a mention to previous "background and security checks pending"?

Good morning,

This e-mail message is in reply to your inquiry regarding the Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, that you filed with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on August 4, 2014.

USCIS records indicate this case is currently assigned to an officer for review. Although the case is assigned to an officer, we are unable to determine the date a final decision may be made on this case.

Please let us know what you think!!

Thats what they told us when we inquired. After I called they said it will take up to 10 months for the review, we were at sixth month mark at the time,

however we got the decision within about 7 business days after that

Hopefully that means the same to you too

Good luck!

Aw.. I know hehe... hopefully it is days and not (more) months.

We have gone through some very rough patches in trying to keep calm and patient. I don't do patient very well and this has been a true test.

UnaMexicana

Reads like they can't tell you when it will be approved and could be a matter of days weeks or months.
I would keep doing service requests

We were approved one or two days after a response like that, Una

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.
