It seems that NSC has gotten a little faster. Wishing you all have NOA2s very soon. Be strong.

Hope so too. If you don't mind me asking, how did you expedite your case at the NVC? I'm now concerned that once I get NOA2 I might have to wait 6-7 Months for an interview. Any word on current processing time at NVC for US citizen applying for spouse? Thank you in advance

I am also worrying about this. Its so much waiting and I have heard it can take about 6-7 months to get the interview. I guess we have to wait and see, but hoping for the best!

It'st taking around 2 to 3 months to get through NVC without check lists. Once they receive all your docs its a 60 wait for review. Requested the expedite once we received our NVC case number due medical issues. This does not work for everyone and some have to send the request several times.

Congratulations to everyone who have received their approvals! I'm sure it's an amazing feeling getting the green light for the next stage and a step closer to finishing this slow, stressful and painful immigration journey.

My PD is July 25 and it's reassuring to know that Nebraska is slowly starting to keep up with pace.

Wish everyone all the best.

Thanks for taking the time to answer this. Hope our wait time in NVC is reasonable

I guess the trick is to avoid checklists but I know the NVC are notorious for misplacing paper work!

I've seen about 3-4 July filers with PDs around yours and have already received NOA2, maybe you should call them and to speak to a tier 2 supervisor

Woke up to this email that we are approved!

Congratulations!

I see that we both have the same NOA1 date, but we haven't received any RFE or anything else other than the NOA1.

While the Nebraska center seems to be processing cases from July now, how come some cases seem to go through really fast? Is there any special situation on your case that might have expedited things?

In our case, my husband and I got married in the US, we have lived in the US together (he was under a study visa and then a H1B visa), we've filed taxes jointly, have leases under our names and so on, matching all the requirements for proof of a bona-fide relationship. It should be a quick process for the NOA2 - why does it take soooo long?

If anyone else received their NOA2 faster than the 5 months, please share with us if there was anything special about your case that might have expedited it.

I decided to call USCIS today and of course they threw a monkey wrench in the works. They told me NSC is now processing June 16th applications.....I highly doubt all those approved July 2014 cases on this site were expedited!!

I'm thinking the outdated system they're using isn't updating properly and they're just too lazy to give us a proper answer. There's no way they've been working on June 16th applications for a month! Is there any other way we can find out for sure what day they're working on?

Don't know about any other way to find out what date application they are working on. I tried contacting them through my senator's office, but even they got a generic response saying 5-month is just a processing goal and not a commitment. If you find out any other way, please let me know. My PD is July 9, and I am still waiting!
