On August 14, 2014, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.

hopefully this is a good thing!!

Hello all :)

Just thought I would join this thread as I find myself logging on every day just to try and get some encouragement.

We got our NOA1 on 2 July from NSC, so have really only been officially waiting for just over a month now (although my husband left for the US almost five months ago). It took more than three months just to gather the documentation I needed from our government departments here (South Africa) in order to file the I-130.

Soooooo......

We went ahead and applled for the K3 a couple weeks after we got our NOA1, just to cover our bases (even though it's unlikely the K3 the will win the race), we just wanted to be safe rather than sorry.

So almost five months without the Love of my life...sometimes feels like I'm losing my mind.

What's up with Nebraska? I hear the horror stories, but I'm trying to manifest a freakishly quick NOA2.

2015/08/20: INTERVIEW!!!!

2015/08/20: DENIED 😢  - Instructed to file I-601

It seems that getting a transfer at this point may be a good thing. My PD is 1/27 and I'm stuck in the "Your petition is on hold due to extra time needed for background checks."

My PD is 04 Feb and I am still stuck on "Initial Review" :(

I got another email today that said my case was transferred to "my local USCIS office" (the email yesterday said "another service center"). I hope that's a good thing.

Hey *iri* and everyone else that got transferred, I found this post ( http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/441796-faq-case-transfers-to-another-service-center/ ). It's from over a year ago but it seems things haven't changed. Apparently our cases are not really being sent to a local office and we can expect a third email in a few days. All in all, it seems we're better off waiting for the letter in the mail. Best of luck!

3/9/15 - Called NVC and they have checklisted us for an "incorrect" decree absolute from the UK, even though it is the legal official document. Have requested a supervisor review.

4/28/15 - Called and NVC said supervisor had reviewed and now claimed that the decree absolute was not included. After disagreeing with the less than helpful lady on the phone, and her not being able to get the review time right. (She kept changing her story between 42 days and 30 days).

4/30/15 - Sent the same copy of the decree absolute to the NVC from the UK, highlighting the "decree absolute" wording with a letter stating that this is the only document provided by the UK government.

5/6/15 - Scan date for checklist received.

6/5/15 - Case complete!!!

6/12/15 - Called and interview is scheduled for July 1!

6/14/15 - Received email with interview date and instructions.

6/19/15 - Case showing as ready on CEAC.

7/1/15 - Approved at interview!!!

7/6/15 - CEAC changed to Administrative Processing

7/7/15 - CEAC changed to Issued!!!!!

7/10/15 - Passport and packet delivered!
