I have a question....I just mailed my i-130 packet to Chicago lockbox. What happens after that? Does it get transfered somewhere depending where you live? I ask because of this topic. I wouldnt want my case to be transfered to Nebraska if they are taking this long.

We applied to the office in Chicago. Our NOA1 came on July 12th. Then our case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center on January 3rd. We're still waiting and moderately loosing our sh*t! It looks like they are working on May now, so I guess 2 more months...... Hopefully, not longer.

I've got the feeling that they transfer cases partially depending on where you live and sometimes depending on what month you applied.

We tried to make sense of the transfer for months now and nobody seemed to understand the way they do it.

Also, they never keep the same pattern!!

I agree with you! After 7 almost 8 months in the process it's understandable that nothing is understandable! I guess all of us feel angry, helpless and frustrated.

We have been waiting NOA2 since last June 5 2013.

We got Transfer info in Dec 19 2013 and it says call or contact them if you don't get any notification within 60 days.

So we supposed to call or contact them but we will wait until the end of Feb.

Currently, processing time is 9 month, so you probably need to wait that time too.

Good luck!

We applied in July, but our 60 days are also due in the end of February. However, from my husband's experience it's absolutely useless to call them. It looks like they just have a list of bullshit excuses. Nobody ever knows anything. Nobody knows their phone number. Nobody knows what month they are processing. Nobody even knows a goddamn address of that place.

I am also a nov filers got my noa1 nov 24 and i was transfer directly to nebraska and ever since then i have heard nothing and nothing has being changed .....waiting waiting wating.... nebraska service is slow as snail like my friend told me

Actually, they are not slow at all!

The problem is that NBC transferred a huge number of petitions to Nebraska.

If you look at the numbers in www.uscis.gov monthly update, Nebraska processed 57,000 petitions in one month, that is second to California by a small number.

So they are pretty fast but they have a huge backlog!!!!

I just hope that you guys don't get caught with the DACA renewals again! they are due for renewal now!!!!!!!!!

NO1 December 17 2013. After that we filed I 129 F and they said that our case number was changed on January 30. That is all for now...

I got a question.

Are they going to transfer our case from Nebraska somewhere else sometime in the future? I see that happens a lot on the forum but I don`t know who does that apply to.

Best wishes
