There's a USCIS ombudsman that handles situations just like yours: http://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance. I'd say contact immediately, but be sure you're gone through all the steps they list first:

Before contacting the Ombudsman, you must first try to resolve your problem through USCIS customer service avenues:

Check

Email

Request assistance from USCIS using their e-Request tool to check on appointment accommodations, typographic errors, delayed delivery of documents, notices or cards by mail or if a case is beyond the normal processing times.

Call
  • Call the USCIS National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283
Schedule

Good luck!

Hi,

Did you file a service request. My lawyer said that she spoke to NSC and they said she would be able to file one until 23rd July (5 months + 2 months)…..hmmmmmm

All receipt numbers around mine are approved, but am remaining hopeful that we are just around the corner!!!

By your formula my service request filling date was on or after 4rth of July (My PD is Dec 4). They all bullshit ####### idiots. I filed on Jun 18. Now i can file another one but will file on 23rd.

They just misguide people. They buy time, thats it. They are overloaded. They INVENT excuses on run time.

There have been several recent NOA2 approvals of I-130s at the NSC!

Congrats to those getting approvals who have PDs in February 2014.

This next batch of approvals are mostly from India and one for the UAE.

We jumped from 9% of Feb filers of I-130s at NSC approved here on VJ to 19% of the VJ community Feb Filers of I-130 approved. That's huge!

Fingers crossed more of us get good news next week.

So good to know, this is now July 19th, 9 days past my 5 month mark and counting. It looks like most people get approved at the 6 month mark...

the response was ( our file will be attend to in order that it was received) this was after 7months and while others after our PD has be approved.

That makes sense then, they are overloaded and mostly because of DACA, they want to attend illegals first and then they will see towards us if they get time. :ranting:

Go to ombudsman and see what it says, wish you good luck. Let us know any further progress...

Approvals keep coming! Who will be next?

13 of 51 approved in February (I-130s), IR1/CR1 visas pushes the VJ Members approved to 25%!

Robbie, we're right there together man! I'm 2/10, hopefully we're coming soon!! I'm so sick of this, it has become an addiction to pull my iPhone out every 30 minutes and refresh my Browser to see if I got something new (approval). I can't wait to call my wife and say "baby, we're approved!!"
