Some Stats for NSC here on VJ.

According to Igor's List for filers with an NOA1 in February 2014:

There are a total of 42 of the I-130 petitions from VJ members who have completed their timelines.

4 have been approved (3 from the Phillippines and 1 unknown since I don't have access to view)

That is currently 9.5% approval rate of February Filers.

I'm going to keep tracking this approval rate to see if we can learn something about when they start working the Feb folks and as a general reminder to those who haven't, Please Complete Your Timeline with correct information.

Good luck everyone!

We just got our I-130 and I-129F approved yesterday! I'm surprisingly excited. The wait was getting so long that my disappointment was making me lose interest, but now it's full blown. :D :D

But I should say, that I filed a service request a few weeks ago. Then yesterday, the I-129 had a strange case update that our mailing address had changed even though I never sent any notification of a move. o.O I think what happened was that when I sent in the service request, I used the US mailing address we'll be residing at since it's my parents place (I use it for bills and what not) When USCIS responded, they simply said my case was now with an officer and expect an answer within 60 days. There was a small apology for the delay, and then a comment that they noticed I used the US address instead of the foreign one, and that I should submit an address change request if I had moved. I ignored it then, but when I received the notice yesterday I tried calling them. Tier 1 was easy to get ahold of but, I had to wait for 2.5 hrs for tier 2, and then either my phone or the USCIS officer dropped the call before I could inquire about the address change.

My husband and I were really frustrated after that, but then now it's approved! Don't know if it was a glitch or what though. I did get to say a few words to the officer (who already had our case number and reason for calling), so msybe she made something happen? Hard to say.

So, hoping the address thing was only a glitch, and the case will proceed smoothly at NVC. If I remember correctly, is it so that the 129 and 130 are approved at conjointly, then the 129 gets dropped?

Hi,

i called USCIS Nebraska once and explained my concern. Then the lady asked me if i´m the petitioner or the beneficiary and i answered the beneficiary. Well, she said she´s sorry, but they could answer explicit questions about a pending case only to the petitioner.

Don´t know what other members experienced though.

I would just give it a try. They would ask you about your status anyway. :)

Good luck. :goofy:
