Sigh after waiting for 5 months, instead of a case complete i just got the notice for an RFE today. Kinda freaking out because I was so very thorough that I have no idea what it is. Anyone on here know how long it usually takes to receive the RFE by mail?

Ohh.. that's not so nice.. you will receive it max 7 days. Any idea what the RFE for could be?

Thats the thing I have no idea. I would hope its not relationship i mean we lived together, had joint bank account, lease agreement a bunch of stuff to the same address. Unless they want stuff from before we got married last year, which i believe i still have boarding passes for the 2 times before we were together. Unfortunately my laptop died a year ago that had all my skype logs on it so i hope i won't need that =(. Everything else was covered i went over it with my wife at least 3 times before sending it off.

I'm trying not to have a full blown panic attack, by telling myself maybe its nothing major. (which isn't working so well)

i just received an app update that states my case has been transferred to my local office. if i am from California does that mean i can expect an update from the California service center?

My case was transferred today to a new service center, they did not mention which one. My NOA1 is 1st of July

Is it good or bad? I usually read cases get approved faster after transfer

My case was just transferred too! NOA1 is July 1st. Do I have to wait until I receive the notice in the mail to find out what service center has it now?

From which country is the beneficiary? Could it be translations? Edited by chrmar

Nope my wife is a British citizen so that limits out any translation issues. I guess I have to wait and see. I just truly hope it's not anything major. If it's further proof of cohabitation I don't have anything additional to send as I'm back in the US now. Sigh

Oh.. yeah, well just calm down. Everything should be fine. It could be that they misplaced some of your documents. You'll find it out next week. When we got the RFE I panicked and read from some other posts here on what they did. To tell you, getting an RFE is like not good but good in a way coz it also means that somebody is touching/reviewing your petition and as soon as they received our response, we got approved in a weeks time.

There have been cases of USCIS misplacing the originally included evidence, so it can be that as well. Just make sure you have everything that you provided handy( which I assume you will have, as everyone who's waiting eagerly). It may not be anything major at all. Good luck and do keep us posted.
