Yeah happen to me today. Called the office. They said must of been an error. Same answer still working on March.

Yeah happen to me today. Called the office. They said must of been an error. Same answer still working on March.

It seems a lot of us had received that message today... keeping my fingers crossed

If you notice, it is just a change in language. Instead of "we received your I-130 application for immediate relative, Fiance(e) or Orphan", it now says "we received your I-130 application for immediate relative". They just removed some words, nothing else.

Yeah same thing i got but it now says "we received your form i-130 petition for alien relative". I thought i would have said "immediate relative"

Ohhhh glad I came over here. Or, rather, disappointed.

Sounds like a hiccup. Maybe they're updating or changing something in the system.

We also got an "alert" on the App that gave us the same message (couldn't deliver our NOA1 in the mail) from June 17. And the date didn't even change.

I was hoping that someone touched a wrong key, and our file is being looked at, but maybe it's just a system glitch.

Starting to wonder since 90% of the cases around us have been approved.

Got an alert from the USCIS app too today. Hopefully this means someone is looking at the file

And... As i stared sadly at the app amd my sad case file being at the bottom when i do a date sort... It suddenly went to the top!

Blinked blinked refreshed and voila its true!!! Over5.5 minths later we are approved.

My PD is April 7. I did contact our senator. I actually wrote our congressman, and both senators for GA. Thankfully Senator Johnny Isakson's office contacted me within only 3 days of emailing them.

NSC is a joke and to be honest I have not had a good experience with them at all. Tier 2 sound as clueless at times as regular customer service. I have written before explaining what happened the last time I called them. So I'll give you a quick update for those who may not have.

Sept 7: called and spoke to Tier 2 to check the status of my case as I had no updates and we hit 5 months.

- was told an RFE was mailed out on August 25th (4.5 months from PD) to my Egyptian address and to call back at the end of the month if I did not receive it in the mail and they would fax it to me.

Sept 30: called to tell them I did not receive RFE in mail and would like it faxed.

- was told by Tier 2 that it was never sent but only ordered and that their is a difference between an RFE sent and one ordered. So she made a service request. But when I began asking her about the 90 day expiration of the RFE, she quickly repeated that she sent a service request and then hung up on me.

Oct 7: called spoke to Tier 2, as I felt worried about the RFE expiration date and did not feel good about this situation of sent/ordered and wanted to speak to a supervisor for clarification.

- was told that I could not speak to a supervisor in regards to my RFE and that I have to just wait and that the RFE was not sent only ordered.. Basically parroting what I heard the week before and was hung up on again

Me, pissed off, wrote up a letter explaining in detail of what happened, emailed it to my congressman and both senators.

As mentioned above, I received help from senator Johnny Isakson's office.

Oct 9: Was emailed by senator Isakson's office to fill out a privacy release form so they could contact USCIS on my case.

Oct 10: scanned/emailed privacy release form

Oct 12: Rec's response from senators office and was given a copy of my RFE.

USCIS is still stating that they mailed out the RFE August 25th completely neglecting the fact that the RFE is dated August 30th and not admitting that it was never sent in the first place.

Oct 12 I responded to the senators liaison and asked how and who do I send it to, as the RFE letter states that their was an enclosed return envelope, but of course no address was given.

By the way the RFE had an expiration of November 25. So had I not have contacted the senators office, I would still most likely be in limbo of tier 2 telling me it was only 'ordered' not 'sent'.. blah, blah.

Oct 13: Was given address. But DHL was already closed and was closed on Oct 14.

Oct 15: Sent RFE response through DHL and should arrive today, Oct 18 to NSC.

In case you are wondering what the RFE was for; they wanted the Arabic copy of our marriage contract as we sent the certified translated English copy of our marriage contract. We sent the Arabic and another English copy just in case along with the RFE letter on top.

I only hope that they will approve us soon after receiving our response. NSC is in my opinion the worst service center USCIS has. They also insisted that they do not fax RFE's even though I have spoken to several VJ's who've had it done and even the first Tier 2 I spoke to said they could. They are so inconsistent with what they do it is no wonder why so many people from multiple priority dates ranging from Mar- May are frustrated with them.

My advice is, if you believe your case has gone past 5 months without any type of update, call them (tier 2) and ask about your case status. Had I not have done so at 5 months I would not have known that at 4.5 months they ordered an RFE on me. I had no Case Status updates from USCIS either, nothing to tell me I had an RFE. This is why I believe USCIS made an error in regards to my RFE. And the service request that was made at 6 months did not get assigned an officer until the senator got involved.

Write your senators, that's what they are there for if all else fails.

Thanks for the update. Hope your issue resolves soon. We are 3 weeks away from 5 months mark. No update yet. I just hope our case does not have the same issue as yours.

Just to note: USCIS has not updated their processing time info for this month yet. [Generally it is updated around 15th of each month]

Nebraska processing time changed to 2nd of April for I-130, all March cases are approved? Did anybody with March PD receive NOA2 here?
