Hello, first time at this forum. Followed another one but seem dead lately.

Started Petition for my wife PD 8/18/2016

She is filipina. Filing from NY. Hopefully it will be quick, since I saw many Phils Approvals

less than 2 months from NOA1.

hi guys,

i'm still waiting to hear from NVC that they've even received my docs from USCIS. i have not heard anything and it's been over a month for this part! is that normal?

NOA2: aug 14

sent to Dept of State: sept 6 (notified via uscis app)

i haven't been notified by email about anything yet, other than the NOA1. as some people have mentioned, though, if i had turned in the electronic notification form back with the i-130, then i should also get an email notification once NVC has received and assigned a case # and invoice #, is that right? nothing yet. :(

(side question - for those who call the office from outside the US, what's the cheapest method of calling? skype? or do y'all use your mobile plans? last time i called to simply ask about an address change, all the wait times started to cost a lot...)

Mine was sent to NVC 18th august and I heard from them 8th September, so you should hear soon.

As for contacting NVC... I personally don't bother calling from New Zealand, I just secure email them and I hear back in a few days, so try that if you're not urgently needing the answer. Here is the secure email link

Our NOA2 was August 9, case sent to NVC September 8, NVC received September 13. Today we just got our case number.

As with calling from outside the USA, I've been using viber out call. It's cheap.

I am so upset you guys. Our PD is March 29th and still nothing. We will be hitting 6 months mark in just 3 days. Every case around me is processed either approved or RFE'S.

I have called them a couple times just to hear the same answers. I don't even know what to do anymore. Any suggestions?

Not sure if you can do anything at all. Expect write a few letters to your

US Senators. One thing I would try and do. Is make an appointment at the

Local office. See what happens there.

Good luck

After a week and 2 days I finally got the letter from USCIS, result that they didn't accept the translation of my divorce because it was not in full details. Now I need to find someone who can do it, so any suggestion will be appreciated!!

We were approved 188 days ( 6 + plus months) after NOA1. Don't lose hope. Try contacting local congressman or senator as other suggested. I had my local congressman involved as soon as I hit 5 months mark. Good luck.

Hi there.

I think I am entering your league soon.

Am trying to find a logic behind this. Did you follow up on your case for whatever reason so far? Wondering if when we follow up our files get taken out of the queue...

Hey

I don't really think following up helps at all. I have reached out to them a few times just to hear the same ANSWERS " we are working on March 2nd cases " ummm no you are not . You have approved almost every case from March and April ( going from what I see on the app and visa journey timeline ) .

I am just gonna wait and another week and then contact our senator's office like everyone is suggesting. I dont know what else to do . Hang in there . Hopefully we both will hear some good news this week . Good Luck :)
