Hello Everyone,

My case# ends with *******22. PD is July 25th. I've seen on USCIS app and their website that the case# ends with *********29 is being approved on Sept. 16, 2016 while having the same PD (July 25th)

This makes me curios that how does any service center decide which case they should work on? I thought the process is FIFO (First In First Out) instead of randomly selecting case. The reason I said it is because there are many people ahead of me whose PD is in May and still waiting for more than 4-5 months.

Any idea?

Anybody has any idea? I just want to clarify myself as I'm confused...Please..:)

There's no rhyme or reason as to how they process the cases. It could be that the other cases are being expedited due to military orders, medical emergencies or they may be Filipino beneficiaries.

The case next to ours on the app was approved several months before ours. We waited 5 months 13 days but there were cases around ours approved in less than 2 months.

I don't think that's correct info you have. It's hardly impossible to get your case approved that fast.

That's what I thought that it's impossible to get your case approved this fast. But I checked it on USCIS app and their website. it's correct.

In fact, I talked with one of the members here in a private message as his case was approved in just 46 days from NOA1 date.

Its possible - if their file got processed in Texas or at some point in Potomac even. I just met someone 3-4 days ago. Same about 45 days. Me green with envy

This is really unbelievable!

I just saw 17 different timelines from (Armenia, Kuwait, Philippines, & Omen), the average number of days it took to get cases approved is 62 only from NOA1 to NOA2. Their service center is Nebraska.

I wonder what gives them priority over others... :protest::cry:

I am all for helping people in difficult situations, but I find it unfair that just because you live in a certain country you get pushed to the front of the line. Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't those in the Phillipeans expedidited because of an natural disaster that happened several years ago....probably before many of these couples met. I know it's the government and there's no such thing as fair. It's just hard to watch as many of us wait 4-6 months just to get through the first phase.

Has anyone got something like this?

I did a service request and got this response......

The status of this service request is:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received. If after 60 days you have not received anything in the mail, please contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at the number provided below.

Are they still doing background check? or background check is done?
Can anyone answer please.....

Yes! I got exactly the same reply when I sent the query back in August. I think they already have standard statements drafted ;) for everyone. No further information.

parsha, My case was approved on August 30 and we just got notice today (September 22) that they have transferred it to the NVC. It could be another week or so until you hear something. The app will change when they send it. Hang in there.
