Nebraska Approvals have been very slow this week.. But God is good and nothing happens before its time in my husbands words. I will take a page from hubbys book and be patient..

I wish I had patience like you and your husband. My patience and hopes have been decreasing as each day and week passes by..

Hopefully it means your actually approved. Hang in there and hopefully soon it will be updated.

I am hoping that's what it means and I see the update soon

Thought I'd provide an update-- I-130 received in Chicago on March 25th, sent to Nebraska, and was approved August 4.

2/9/2016 - Received NOA1 via text and email

2/15/2016 - Received NOA1 in mail

5/18/2016 to 6/1/2016 - Visited wife in india

8/11/2016 - Received NOA 2 via text and email :dancing: :dancing:

8/22/2016 - Received NOA 2 in mail

9/6/2016 - Case was sent to NVC (received text & email)

9/12/2016 - NVC received our Case from USCIS... wait continues for NVC case number

9/27/2016 - Submitted -261 and paid AOS fee

9/29/2016 - Received and paid IV fee

10/9/2016 - Submitted DS-260

10/15/2016 - AOS and IV package mailed to NVC

10/19/2016 - Scan Date

12/07/2016 - Case Completed

12/27/16 - Interview date received over the phone

12/30/16 - P4 letter received

Congrats to those that have been approved.I received alert on Uscis apps that I download on my phone on 10th of August,2016 which says (Request for Additional Evidence was mailed)so I want know if anyone have the idea how long will take uscis to approve my petition if I send all the additional evidence that they request for?

The good news is that if they're requesting extra info then they have reached your file on the pile and they will look at it again when your additional evidence arrives. I've seen anywhere from 2-4 weeks mentioned for many in your situation. Great to hear they have looked at your file!

I think they send the request with a cover sheet or something you need to include, make sure you read their instructions carefully so that nothing gets missed :-) good luck!

Sent petition to USCIS Chicago lockbox (via in-laws to put check in US$): 11 Mar, 2016

NOA1: 24 Mar, 2016 (email notification 30 Mar. Hardcopy 11 Apr)

Service Centre: NEBRASKA

NOA2: 3rd Aug 2016

Petition sent to NVC: 18th Aug 2016

NVC Stage

Case number assigned: 8th Sep 2016

Paid AOS Fee: 9th Sep 2016

Paid IV Fee: 14th Sep 2016

DS-260 submitted: 25th Jan 2017

AOS & IV Package sent: 25th Jan 2017

Expedite requested: 25th Jan 2017

Expedite approved (consulate only): 1st Feb 2017

Scan Date: 31st Jan 2017

Case Complete: 14th April 2017 (10 weeks 4 days)

Full expedite approved (bypass NVC to send file to embassy), however too late as I already had case complete 17th Apr 2017

Case arrived at Embassy: 21st April 2017

P4 letter received: 26th April 2017 (expedite at embassy stage so this came from the consulate, not NVC)

Medical date: 26th April 2017

Interview date: 4th May 2017 APPROVED!!

Visa received: 8th May 2017 

POE (entered the USA): 15th May 2017

So USCIS updated the processing times today yet it still shows 5 months for I130

Oh wow, such a lairs... I think that might be their less than average processing time for public but only the people going through the process know the true timing.

Now I strongly believe that the notification on my app was definitely a "system glitch" as i have not been approved yet nor they have processed any of 65 I-130 petition since Monday that they received in 5th February.

GOD please help make this process faster. I am tired of waiting.......

I see that cases that were received between March 28th - April 4th are being heavily accepted. Count the days from April 1st until the time you sent yours and you should have an idea as to when yours will be more likely to be accepted. Of course it is not 100% accurate but it gives you an idea as to when to start looking forward to hearing the good news and hopefully sooner.

I was hoping we all may filers get approved on Sept. but that is not going to happend they are way behind on I130!!

you never know. They have been approving randomly as well.

There is no rhyme or reason to it. I'm sure the petitions sit in a big oil drum and each day the employees reach in and grab a few lucky petitions to be approved that day. Like a bingo game.

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Mpsha, I hope you get approval soon. God forbid but if you do not get approved when you reach 6 month, I would suggest call them and talk to tier 2 officer, I feel like that's what moved my file.
