After reading about the long delay in Nebraska.. I was thinking about visiting her for couple months December-February. Was waiting until October for the five months to expire. Since this doesn't look hopeful. Guess I'll be taking some vacation time.

Try and keep yourself busy.

If you're visiting in the USA make sure you have proof of ties back home (job, house lease etc) so they don't think you're trying to stay.

I was at 133 days when approved. Fingers crossed Nebraska keep the momentum going for you! I'm worried about getting case complete close to Christmas as I know they'll shut down for Christmas break... But we can only hope!

Sent petition to USCIS Chicago lockbox (via in-laws to put check in US$): 11 Mar, 2016

NOA1: 24 Mar, 2016 (email notification 30 Mar. Hardcopy 11 Apr)

Service Centre: NEBRASKA

NOA2: 3rd Aug 2016

Petition sent to NVC: 18th Aug 2016

NVC Stage

Case number assigned: 8th Sep 2016

Paid AOS Fee: 9th Sep 2016

Paid IV Fee: 14th Sep 2016

DS-260 submitted: 25th Jan 2017

AOS & IV Package sent: 25th Jan 2017

Expedite requested: 25th Jan 2017

Expedite approved (consulate only): 1st Feb 2017

Scan Date: 31st Jan 2017

Case Complete: 14th April 2017 (10 weeks 4 days)

Full expedite approved (bypass NVC to send file to embassy), however too late as I already had case complete 17th Apr 2017

Case arrived at Embassy: 21st April 2017

P4 letter received: 26th April 2017 (expedite at embassy stage so this came from the consulate, not NVC)

Medical date: 26th April 2017

Interview date: 4th May 2017 APPROVED!!

Visa received: 8th May 2017

I checked my app which showed I'm approved but it didn't show on there til 5th August my time (a day ahead over here in NZ) and I was approved 3rd August. Might just take time to update.

PS: it took til the 8th August to get my email notification from them

I hope that's the case, but lately my hope has been declining so let's see in next few days, i guess.

Sounds like a good idea.

Hopefully you were approved but due to the time it was not yet updated I heard that agents work all hours even weekends if the choose.. Good Luck

Mpshah, I am hoping that I am approved but few things scares me from being hopefull. Date on the notification was April 2016 and I have not seen any approval from files submitted the same day as mine since yesterday. I am trying to stay positive and I am hoping that I should see the correct status tomorrow if I was approved.

Funny thing happened today. I got push notification through USCIS app that my case was approved but when I went in the app, the case was NOT actually approved!!!!! I have a feeling that someone finally touch my file but this notification was after 6:00pm local time. So I am worrying that hopefully they are not preparing my file to be transferred. I would break all my hopes if my file gets transferred after waiting for more than 6 long months....

Hopefully it means your actually approved. Hang in there and hopefully soon it will be updated.

Thought I'd provide an update-- I-130 received in Chicago on March 25th, sent to Nebraska, and was approved August 4.

Congratulations fellow March submitter, and filer from abroad :-) I was approved the day before you, and my NOA1 was a day before you. Seems they are getting through the late March ones in large numbers looking at the app
