What I can do now my I-130 is going to 6months next week and I-129F is over 5 months now. Is any advice someone can give to me, becuse I called two weeks ago and they sent email that my case was on line to be review and I should allow them sometimes and call them back if I didn't get respond after 60days after almost 6 moths. I get frustrated.

I understand your situation. But i think you can call tier 2 offficer and know exactly whats going on if I'm not wrong. You can call soon to know no harm. All The Best,dont lose hope !!!

That's the normal scripted answer. You can call and immediately ask for a tier 2 person. let that tier 2 person know that it's been almost 6 months and want to check if there is any issues. in all honesty, some cases take longer than 5 months. Mine was approved with no RFE 3 days shy of 6 months.

N-400/Citizenship process:

Applied online: 9/06/2020

NOA1 received: 9/07/2020

Biometric: reuse letter received 1/19/2021

Interview: 5/12/2021 - APPROVED!!! 😃

Oath Ceremony: 6/04/2021

You should track your case using the USCIS app to see how many case before you get approve. It helped me keep my mind clear. Good luck

USCIS Case Tracker App download it from the App Store for iPhone and you can track your case by using your receipt number.

they just update my case for I-129F for more evidence .Is anybody have idea what they can ask for,lastly is going to affect my 1-30 because my I-130 IS past 6 months already no decision yet.I need help

Hi my case got approved after 32 days of filing. received the notice via Sms. I'm still waiting for my Approval letter in the mail. Can i call Nvc for the case # so I can start right away or I still need to wait for the approval letter?

My case is being sent to nvc. So i will be waiting a week to confirm they received it and after another week i will start calling for my case #.

It will take a week or two for your case to arrive at the NVC. Once your case arrives it will take up to two weeks to get your case number.

Hi all,

Our case was finally approved! I didn't receive an email (even though I requested electronic notification too), however tonight when I got home from work I was pleasantly surprised to receive the hard copy of the NOA2. My PD was 20 October 2015, approval is 29 February 2016.....so took just over 4 months. Super excited!!!

When is it recommended to start calling the NVC with case number, etc...? Also, will they send a checklist or something with details on the next packet?

Good luck to all those still awaiting approval! :)

Congrats! You can check in with NVC 1-2 weeks after the date of approval!

I called NVC today to see if a case number had been assigned to our case. My NOA2 was 29 February. So, it's been 1 week since approval. The customer service rep said that it can take 35 days to get a case number....business days!! She didn't really want to look, but took my receipt number, no case number yet :(

I thought that was a bit long....I'm going to call again Friday. Just going to keep calling twice a week until I get my case number.

Does anyone that was approved around the end of Feb or early March have a case number yet???
