why Nebraska getting slow now.My I-130 is August 24th 2015 and I-129F is 9/11/2015. The I-130 is alredy past for piority date which is 1/24/2016.My I-129F piority date is coming up next week ,tired of expecting from them is anyway I can speed up my process?

Don't worry hold on. See month of February and if nothing happens, I'm reading in some of the posts you can call the USCIS and ask for a tier 2 officer and ge can tell you the details. This stage is really tough but we will all go through this hopefully. All the best ?

Its getting me real worked up the fact that its feb 4th already and I dnt see any september people getting approvals from Nebraska. Im Sept 15th and i have everything viciously calculated- i ope in the lord everything goes as planned and that nothing has significant delays. but again its US Immigration we're dealing with here right? ugh

I'm trying not to get worked up. There were some approvals the maybe two weeks ago and then it got very quiet in here. Got to have faith and hold on. It's coming!

Hang in there everyone. My petition took almost exactly 6 months for approval with no RFE's. it just depends on the agent that has your file and how quickly he/she decides to move through his/her stack. I was stressed out like you guys. I thought my file was sitting in a box in a warehouse somewhere because my 5 months was December 16th. However, when I finally got that text and email saying there's been an update on my case and it's been approved......happiest day of my life (next to my wedding day of course).

if you haven't signed up for text and email notifications, create an account on myuscis.com and sign up for it. then you'll also be able to check the "last updated" column to see when they touched your file. if you see it as a recent date, then you know they have looked at it at least.

Anyone correct me if im wrong but I believe as far as USCIS processing, I will be the same time regardless if the petitioner is a USC or a PR. We should all be going by the same processing times. However, after approved from the service center, things my slow down for permanent residents. Someone can confirm this.

What do you mean priority date coming up. You are within the service centers processing time. I-129F priority date coming up?? huh

Not necessarily. LPR's frequently get approved faster and then sit at NVC. I have noticed USCIS is taking longer and letting many wait closer to their PD being current which is better.

HUH no one said a review of a RFE will take 6 months. Most RFE's if simple enough get done within days or a few weeks. It's usually a fast affair.

Where did you get an RFE takes 6 months? You going to have people freak out.

this is incorrect. read above. Initial processing takes 4-8 months average is 5-6. If an RFE arrives, its usually another 60 days of review to get a decision. Most RFE responses ive seen are received in about 20 days after prompt and proper response of RFE.

RFE responses DO NOT take 6 months to be reviewed. I mean as faar as I know and understand- if this were to happen Im sure it would have to be an extreme case.

Hello Nebraska Filers did anyone get any answer from the USCIS, mostly anyone from the September filers? Still waiting for RFE mail. Anyone has any idea how long it takes to reach? Its already 7 buisness days im too worried. Thinking of calling USCIS tomorrow if they can email us. Sounds ok?

We were at NE and received an RFE 4 days before our 5 month mark. It took 7 business days via mail to receive the RFE letter, we responded within 3 days and it took another 9 business days for USCIS to receive our response. They updated the USCIS website the same day. Then it took another 9 days for them to approve our petition (NOA2). So in total our RFE delayed our approval about 3 weeks. I hope this helps.
