Yeah yeah, we've been through this. None of this was on the daily show's exposé. My point was, they did a crappy job presenting what actually happened. They basically just sh!t all over Florida and said it was ok to kill black people there.

Considering that this happened 6 months behind Zimmerman, with basically the same premise, it's the message that Florida is sending out.

Oh my god, Marvin. No it isn't. There are severe issues with Florida's laws in regards to self defense and they don't only impact black people.

This type of sensationalism doesn't help the cause.

Apparently, its the "message" two or three people on that jury were sending out. You don't like being generalized, why generalize Florida?

Penny, a man fired a gun into a car full of black teenagers, fled the scene, didn't call 911, and lied about a weapon. Yet, he wasn't found guilty of killing the teenager. Zimmerman painted Martin as a vicious thug who was going to kill him, even though he had a history of violence himself. Whose word is given more credence?

You're right, I shouldn't let the actions of a few speak for the entire state.

Marvin, I know the details of the case. They've been discussed numerous times. That does not say "Florida lets you kill black people"

My point is, it appears that all you have to do is say that thug was going to kill me, and poof, it's self defense. You don't need a weapon, and testimony from witnesses don't seem to matter if look a certain way. The three kids who said there was no weapon and that Jordan didn't get out of the car words weighed less than the dude whose actions were more frightful than the "thug" he killed. What does that say?

Marvin, like I said, this doesn't only impact black people. All you have to say is "they were going to kill me" and apparently you can get off. It's not a white vs black thing.

For example, the story I posted about the blind man killing his friend. Nobody in that story was black. A witness also said it wasn't self defense. So did the police. What does that say? NOTHING about racism.

These stories say that there's something severely wrong with laws in Florida.

They do not say Florida thinks it's okay to kill black people.

They don't, stop trying to spin it that way.

Okay, I see your point. I guess I'm just used to seeing it happen on this side all the time.

Because those are the stories that have an emotional impact on you and I get that. But you can't let it cloud your vision to the point where you don't see the other side.

That's because the evidence showed martin beat Zimmerman in the face. I guess that is why they believed him

As for FLA

The guy is going to be convicted. It's far from over. He already is in Jail for life

Well, yeah, there's no doubt that Zimmerman got knocked around. What's in doubt is what happened before that because the only person who can say is Zimmerman.

We'll never know. Maybe Martin attacked first. Or maybe, just maybe, Martin was the one standing his ground against someone he felt was threatening him.

It's a "sticky slope", you know.

Well that is why he was found not Guilty. The preponderance of the evidence did not prove he was guilty. That is how it is supposed to work

BTW I used sticky slope on purpose It was not a nature boyism

None the less feel free to have fun with it
