Medical exam copies

Hey Everyone,

Back with another question. So my fiance had his medical exam done plus had the vaccines done also. He asked for a personal copy to have for his records and was told that he wouldn't need them.

However, I am aware that we might need them for his Adjustment of Status ( when we're approved for the K-1, God willing). I forgot the name of the doctor he went to but he says its very close to Haiti Messenger.

Long story; are the people right in saying that he doesn't need the copies? Will we be able to get copies during the interview? Or am I just over thinking things ( something I've grown accustom to doing during this whole K-1 process lol)?

Any info is much appericated!

 A.O.S

My fiancé just had his medical exam this week and I was wondering the same thing!! I was going to ask for a copy at the interview? My fiancé is turning Packet 3 into Haiti Messenger today. I'm nervous because he has to go back to Jeremie for a week for work, so his uncle in Port-Au-Prince will be notifying him when he gets anything delivered back with our interview date. Do you have any idea how long it takes for them to notify of interview date? They just send another packet don't they? Please let me know when you get your interview date because we probably will just be a few days behind you! I'm going to fly down for the interview too, and thankfully my work is being very understanding since it will be such last minute notice. Good luck to you in the weeks to come! :)

Its takes about a week or two to get packet 4 which is basically a double piece of paper with the interview date and document checklist of additional papers if needed....get haiti messager number on their website haitimessager.ht ,and have him or her call to check on it ,before going.

To God all the glory "Haitian priye pou peyi w se priye pou tet ou".

You need a copy of the DS-3025, vaccinations sheet. It needs to have all the required vaccinations marked off on it and it needs to be correctly filled out. That is the only way to avoid the need to see a civil surgeon for an I-693 for AOS > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/428381-i-693-report-of-medical-examination-and-vaccination-report/?p=6206232

The medical documents will be in the sealed envelope you turn in at your POE and will be in your case file.

Thanks Jay-Kay for responding. I had a feeling; any suggestions on how to get copies now that we've submitted the sealed envelope along with packet 3?

I'm going to ask at the interview about getting copies but I figured I'd ask VJer's who have gone through this already. Especially with the embassy in Haiti

I am happy to see posts from others applying for a K-1 for fiance's in Haiti.

First of all, I have no idea about getting copies of the medical exam, however, the doctor that my fiance saw would not vaccinate him stating that he received notification from the embassy stating that vaccinations are no longer required for k-1 visas (as you probably can imagine this is making me very anxious because everywhere I have read has said that vaccinations are required and I don't want them to deny him because of this), I tried to call CIVA to clarify but they couldn't answer my question.

As far as packet #4 goes, my fiance was given a date 15 days after he dropped off packet #3 to pick-up packet #4 at Haiti Messenger so they don't actually mail it, your fiance will pick it up.

Our interview is coming up, it's on March 10th, please keep us in your prayers! Good luck to my fellow Haiti vjers!

YES! I'm sooo thankful not only for VJ but my fellow Haitian fiance filers also. It's good know that we're not alone yes.gif

AS for the vaccines, I think each doctor does their own thing... I'm convinced. I read one past post that said the doctors offices just gave the fiance a copy with the sealed envelope. In my fiance's case, doctor's office just said he didn't need a copy. And for his exam they gave him 4 shots. And your situation is different too.

Either way, GOOD LUCK with the interview!!!! And I pray that all of us are able to be/live with our fiances soon!

Vaccinations are not required for a K-1 visa. They are required for filing adjustment of status. If you do not get all the required vaccinations at the time of your K-1 medical, then you will need to find a civil surgeon in the US to get the vaccinations and fill out an I-693 to send with your AOS application. See the link I posted above.

Argh! So my fiancé needs to go to Haiti Messanger to pick up packet #4??? He was told to check with them on March 18, but I had heard they would bring it to the address we have listed. My fiance lives WAY over in Jeremie so we listed his uncle's address in Port-au-Prince. My fiancé is back in Jeremie now because he had to get back to work and his uncle was going to call us if the packet got delivered. We were also planning on checking Haiti Messanger website and calling them for follow-up. Or should we plan another trip back to Port-au-Prince to get the packet?

Maybe your fiance can call Haiti messenger and see if the uncle can go and pick it up when its available. Pick up is the best thing because I wouldn't trust the mailing system unless it's DHL. The embassy "mailed" my fiance packet 3 on the 14th of January and we never got it, we got it via email.
