So this is really an upadate. Husbands interview was 2-3-2014. He was approved at his interview and they kept his passport. Heard nothing until 2 weeks ago and they said AP and would take 9 months. I called DOS today and they say AP and that Embassy doesnt need anything from us. The embassy email was a generated email..nothing personal. The embassy called my husband and told him to tell his wife not to worry this is normal processing..if it is normal processing why did the generated email say 9 months at least??????? We were approved for expedite at NVC and the Embassy!!!!

Generic email about AP is a long time and thats what it says. If your husband is in AP more than a month i would contact congressman/Senator if i were you and ask them to check the exact reason for AP.
