F2A filers waiting for CASE COMPLETION from NVC. Part 2.

Can anyone help, our Priority date is 15 April 2014 - Cali Service Center, so likely to be approved fast, when our case is sent to NVC, do we send off AOS and IV packages, or wait until we become current?

You have to send AoS and IV packages in order to complete your case and get the interview when your PD become current

I am waiting to get NVC case number, our I-130 was approved 1st April. I called them last Friday and it was not yet available. I am also trying to figure out what is the next step. Can I pay AOS and IV right away when case number is available or I will have to wait for that to become available? Do they send me email when its available assuming I have singed for email communication. We have waited over a year for I-130 approval so would really appreciate to cut the time. Do you also know any common mistakes to avoid checklist or RFE so I can watch for? I would really appreciate. Thanks!

Hi Okemo! When you get Case Number you need to wait to be available to sign in.

After you need to complete DS-261 Choice of Address and Agent, pay AOS and IV fees and finally complete form DS-260.

They don't send none email to let you know if you will be available to sign in, you will receive emails to know next steps you will need to do (like complete DS-261, pay the fees and for collect documents about AOS & IV Packages)

Before I get my approval I waited 21months..so long!!!

Just read carefully corrispondence they send to you and check every day the available to CEAC site, don't wait for NVC email, earn a lot of time!

I am waiting to get Case number. NVC received my file on April 18th but they tell me it takes a month from it to get assigned case number. I really hope it is not that long. I see from people signatures it has been taking about 2 weeks after case was received but I am wondering if these has stretched over since and I have see few people waiting a month!

Yeah, they told ever 30 business day.

In my case they took 11 business days, so don't worry, just call every 3/4 days to know for Case Number

Thanks that sounds good, I called yesterday but will call in again at end of week when two weeks will be complete. Btw does NVC schedule the interview at embassy or the concerned embassy will do that? I think I read somewhere about someone who got NVC schedule the interview. I think this might be better to cut down some time and have timetable if possible.

Every Embassy need to open month's slot interview to NVC. When this happen, NVC schedule interview. Wait time depend how busy is the Embassy.

Got my NOA2 yesterday, 30 April; good news, and very fast approval, 15 days, just hope the NVC process is fast - want to get case number so that we can pay the fees.

In the process of getting police certificate and tax returns, w2s etc - but still unclear whether or not we will be sending them now, or waiting until PD is current.

I got my case number and IIN on sep 23rd. But when I am trying to log into the CEAC website it is showing the following:
Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error.
So my husband called yesterday and an NVC agent said that our case cannot be processed further till my husband gets citizenship. Is this true? I am so sad.

I thought NVC completes the case under F2A category and puts it on waiting if priority date is not current before sending the completed case to the local consulate.

Can anyone clarify please?
