I was in Tesla's workshop the other week. It's a restaurant now. I asked the waitress what the building used to be, because it had marbled walls, and she said it had been a bank, and before that it was the workshop of "some guy who competed with Edison." Lacking any context, I asked "Tesla?" and she said "I don't know." I confirmed my guess later. I thought it was weird she knew part of the story but forgot the best part.
