Asalamu alaikum - Peace be upon you all!

We received notice today that our K1 interview has been scheduled for March 23rd! I'm so excited all I could do is cry. ((alhamdulillah))

Now the praying starts that all goes well and he will be able to come shortly after (wishful thinking).

I haven't seen him in person since May of 2013 so this has saved me a 6th trip.

We will keep you posted on our progress! Thanks for all your support! We are members for life.

It took 4 months after returning our package to the embassy until we received the interview letter. We had several email communications with the embassy and even had my congreswoman inquire on our behalf. They reported that they were back logged due to all the unrest in Egypt but would get to us in order that our package was received. So far that has been true for our case.

Thank you for all the good wishes. We are just ready to be done so that we can start the next process TOGETHER. InshaAllah.

It is clear that the embassy in Cairo has been behind due to the unrest, but they genuinely seem to be trying to make up some ground.We too became "interview ready" in early December and we are hoping to get on the schedule for April. I have been emailing the embassy at the beginning of every month since December to see who is next up for the following month. Looks like they got everyone from sept-oct scheduled in March, so us Nov-Dec people will hopefully get in next month.

Please PLEASE keep us posted on how the interview goes. What documents are taken to the interview, what kind of questions they ask, if they tell you if you will be sent through administrative processing, etc. I want to be best prepared for next month as possible!

Ours was sent on Nov 30. The Embassy has given me three different dates on which they say they received it. DHL confirmed it was delivered and signed for on December 1. The first person at the embassy who emailed me a confirmation said it was received on December 3. The latest confirmation was December 18. These people don't know what the hell is going on. Good thing DHL keeps reliable records.

Our was sent December 13 and they said they received on the 17 then it change to the 18, I hope to get interview soon, try for the petitioner to be there even if they don't let them in,but our attorney and our Senator said that, the CO wil look at that as a good thing.

Ours was received by the embassy on Dec. 9th. Looks like we are all in the same boat. Hope we all get the interviews next month!
