Hello,

I checked our case status on USCIS to find we were approved (NOA2) last week. Today I received the hard copy. I see several people on the boards stating a date for when these events occurred, as well as a separate date for when the case was actually forwarded to the NVC. Is that date actually separate, and if so, how do I know when it is?

Thanks, just a little fuzzy on how this next part of the process goes! :)

it is my understanding that you will receive a letter telling you that your case is at the NVC. Unless you want to call and ask them if they have it yet. But be prepared for some things.

* The wait times are usually more than 20 minutes. Mine yesterday was 27 minutes.

* They will tell you that you need to wait 8 weeks from the time that you receive your NOA2 letter before you call.

* They might be rude, and condescending.
