Seems to me that's not what the witness said happened. Or the police.

Rogers reportedly said DeWitt, 34, eventually rushed him after he asked him -- and his girlfriend, Christina Ann Robertson -- to depart a second time at gunpoint.

But Robertson reportedly disputed Rogers' account, telling authorities the duo had been “play fighting” -- as they were wont to do -- and Rogers shot DeWitt without ample reason.

Doesn't everyone shoot their friends when they get drunk? I've grappled and played roughhouse with friends in my younger days and even when it got out of hand I would never have even had a fleeting thought to shoot them. Sounds like this guy has a loose screw. Or two. I don't know about any of you, but I don't think I'd wake up feeling to good about killing my buddy, even if I was found not guilty.

The man spent 2 years in jail .. a Judge let him free after hearing the case. After watching the zimmerman case we are aware of how little the media can get things right. He went through the legal system found not to be at fault.

He went through the same legal system that very recently failed to convict a man for murdering a kid but convicted him for trying to murder three others. The attempts the murder the three kids he failed to kill were found to have been premeditated. But the shot that actually killed a child in that same incident was somehow self defense. That's the legal system this blind drunk went through. Not exactly a legal system that any rational person would think is worth a damn.

A man with a violent history whose own girlfriend/witness did not back up his story. The legal system does not always work. You know that.

The case was heard presumably in open court. What super-secret info does the judge have the skinny on that's not being reported?
