PD Feb 22nd, 2013. AOS and IV Checklist sent and received by NVC on Feb 05th 2014.

Waiting for CC....Why is NVC taking so long to process cases with such early PDs whilst expediting Late 2013 ones??? They don't even seem to care about families with children!!!! This is really unfair

We have sent I-864 and IV forms in the 3rd week of Jan and 7th Feb. We got a checklist for I-864 in Feb 1st week to which we sent the response on 2/18. When I called NVC few days ago they acknowledged they received the IV forms and our response to I-864 but they haven't opened them for review and we should wait 30 business days to hear back from them.

Today I received another check list email from NVC.

______F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________

The NVC has received the requested Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230). However, we are still waiting for the response to the checklist letter for the Affidavit of Support (Form I-864). Please return the requested information so that we may complete the processing of your case.When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The barcode sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the address provided.

______10 - PASSPORT POLICE CERTIFICATE:____________________________

Indian Police Clearance Certificates should be obtained as follows:

• All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police certificates from the local Passport Office.

• Indian passport holders applying for visas outside India should obtain a statement from their local embassy or consulate confirming they have no criminal record.

• Non-Indian IV applicants residing in India should obtain police certificates from the District Police Station serving their area of residence.

• Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) applicants applying outside India

I am confused as in why they are waiting for the response to the I-864 checklist when they already received it as week ago.

For the police certificate in India, we obtained the PCC from the local police station since the Passport Office issues the police certificate only for up to 6 months from the date they issued a passport. Since this is not the case with us, we got the PCC from the Police department.

Can someone please advice on how to proceed with NVC? I tried calling NVC today but their phone seems to be busy.

Validity of PCC from passport office in India is of 1year and it is necessary to be submitted with IV packet. I've issued,so i know it. Get it soon and submitt.

Apply online on passport seva kendra website for appointment. After registering,you need to go on any day during monday to friday in morning with necessary documents like passport,identification evidence like electricity bill n its copy,original passport n its copy, appointment letter printed from the web, NVC letter etc.

They have given me 2 copies of PCC on the same day evening. Its because i m having new passport which is just 7 months old.

Called NVC. They told me to ignore the checklist and also said my wife can take the PCC to the embassy. But she also said they haven't reviewed the supporting documents yet.

Would it be better if we get the PCC from the Passport office now and submit to NVC (in case they ask for it) or take it to the interview since it is valid for 1 year?

I got another checklist but for civil documents...this means my aos has been accepted eventually but the question is, I already send my civil documents long time ago and now they are asking for the whole thing again not a specific thing.. I felt its a false one so when my husband called nvc they told him that civil documents are still missing !!! I felt something is wrong, he even told her that we have sent them already ...

Got aos checklist for item 13.1 and 13.a.1 i just came in USA at 2013 so i had no income to declare, i left it blank. But acc to NVC I should have put N/A. Replied to nvc the day after i received checklist. Waiting again....
