I have put on a bit of weight since moving to the US

I have eaten out more in the almost 2 years I have been here then I have in my whole life :o....

We need to cut back on the eating out but there are too many good places to eat around here....

hubby says the opposite... he eats out at restaurants less since I moved here

I gained wait during the immigration process because I was wallowing in self-pity.

I've lost it all again though, not really intentionally, just from not eating so much late at night and drinking so much wine.

Since we've been together...

He has gained weight. I think it's from the fattiness of American food. He is still a vegetarian, but we both love cheese. He eats a lot more cheese here than he did in India. We don't go out to eat a lot so I think it's the cheese. :innocent:

I gained probably 5lbs the first year he was here, then stayed at that point. But recently I have started losing weight.

He wants to lose some too.

Didn't they just declare cheese to be junk food in GB?

My husband always says that Americans eat way too much cheese!

Mmmm, cheese.

I really like chocolate, but there are times I shock myself when I'd rather have cheese than chocolate!!

During the whole process I lost weight which didn't bother me at all. :innocent: Since my husband has been here, he's gained 10 pounds and I've gained 5. Guess it's because I'm back to actually cooking meals again.

I have lost a lot of weight since starting the Visa Process not intentionally though. I think just being a bit more on edge, packing up house, living with parents and selling your things, etc, has been burning some calories!

Oh and on the cheese thing...my SO got me onto Monterey Jack cheese (spelling??) when I was there, now I'm addicted!

Goodness!!! Thank you for starting this thread! I went from being totally active in the gym and with sports to a complete paperwork driven worrying maniac. In other words... I also GAINED GAINED GAINED. Now my baby is with me and we hit the gym a few times a week and I'm back to playing basketball... She's also my personal trainer at home (wink wink... can't forget the other workout)... LOL!!! So I am shedding pounds quickly!!! LOL!!!
