hey guys

my PD is 1 Feb 2008

so my PD is current, they send me an email on 17 sep and said that they received my other documents that i missed at the first time and i need to wait one month, after that they will tell me if anything else is needed or i can go for an interview

One month waiting is almost over and when i visit my profile at ceac.state.gov my AOS and civil docs are still N/A

is this normal? or do you guys think that i should speak to a lawyer?

what is the next step normally?

Has anyone who isn't current received an interview letter? Not so long ago interview letters used to go out before the visa bulletin was published. That trend seems to have reversed now, so it's difficult to predict potential movement.

Fingers crossed that the upcoming bulletin will continue with 4 or 5 weeks forward movement.

Hi Guys,

Our PD is July 2004 and just checked that the Current date on Visa Bulletin for Philippines (F1) is 01APR04.

I don't know if this question has been answered before but I just can't take it out of my head. My Grandmother has petitioned my Father as F3 before but since my father became widower last 2009, the petition has been upgraded to F1. The upgrade has been approved recently. I wanna know if this would affect us (children)? Our F3 petition was approved last 2010 and we were all under 21 years by that time. Now that the date is moving fast, I want to know if we (the children) are still included in the petition? Are we gonna make it with our father if ever he move to the US this year?

TIA.

Hi Guys,

I have a very peculiar case. My case was processing under F2B until my visa interview was scheduled. Meanwhile, my petitioner got the citizenship and my case was moved to F1. I went to the interview anyway. The interviewer gave me 221(g) saying "Please return your passport to us when your priority date becomes current. Your priority date is 27/June/2008"

Now since my priority date is current for the Final Action Date, should I send them the passport with 221(g) letter right away or should I wait for them to contact me.

My case status has been updated this morning. It clearly says that:

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. As the officer told you in the interview, if further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved when administrative processing is finished, you will receive notification to collect the passport with the visa from the Loomis branch you selected when you booked your appointment.

So my question is: When do I expect them to contact me? Does it take too long in such cases? I highly appreciate if someone can guide me here.

Regards

AD

If that is what is written on the 212g I think you should send it along with what is requested make sure you keep a copy of it though. Would you petitioner have file a tax return since your last interview cause it so you may need to also send a new AOS and supporting documents.

You should probably also include a cover letter.
