Has anybody heard anything from other sites as regards ILs? The silence is deafening.

Nope nothing here. My case is complete and priority date was current in March. So I should definitely (hopefully), get a letter. Heard nothing yet...

It's radio silence on all blogs, everyone asking the same questions. I did call NVC last night, a rep told me to call back on April 1st which is the day their computer is updated with the new cut off dates.

Normally NVC say that the case will expire if no contact is made within 12 months. Is that still the case when yours is complete and you're just waiting for a visa to be available?

As per my experience It is not necessary to contact after the case is completed and waiting for the PD to be current. But if it has not (or it has) crossed one year you can just contact them to be on a safer side.

I believe you are referring to the issuance and attendance of the Interview appointment.

Additional Information

Failure to Appear for Interview - If you cannot appear at your scheduled interview, contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate as soon as possible. If you do not contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate within one year of receiving your interview appointment letter, your case may be terminated and your immigrant visa petition cancelled, and any fees paid will not be refunded.

Hello I am new here and I need some help. I came to the US on a F-1 visa from Canada and I am now married as of 09/27/2013. I am filling out the I-485 form. What do I put for:

Part 2. Application Type?

Part 3. Nonimmigrant Visa Number? (I just got my SEVIS stamped when I entered the country.)

This is confusing!

I think this fórum should be FB-1 (Unmarried Sons and Daughters of US Citizen) and not F1

I need to be inside US till july 07.

My question is: Can I go before july 07 and stay just for 10 days, and than come back to brazil?

I need to finish a relly great job over here (brazil) and after 1 or 3 months I will live in USA.

All you need to get a Time Machine though, in good working condition and I hope that works so well that you will be return in 2014 safely.
