Just an update ... My son and I had our medical today, it was fine except for the 5 hours to complete the process nearly all of it spent waiting. The doctor did question why did the doctor I went to for vaccinations give me certain shots as I did not need them and how he should have called the clinic, I guess more money in his pocket and I will need to get another GP. Getting results tomorrow for interview on Tuesday.

Hey Guys - I'm new here. Just wanted to share my FB-1 case. My mom's lawyer just paid the IV fees & the AOS fee and I've shot all the civil documents over to her today. She said she'll be filling out the DS-260 sometime this week and send the civil documents to NVC by the end of the week as well. So if i'm following everything correctly, once NVC receives my DS-260 & AOS package it'll take them roughly 60 days to review/approve and schedule me for an interview at the US Embassy in Islamabad, right?

Thanks guys

What is your PD?

each step when you makes changing in your case it is changing of sub-status, but its automatic AOS.
different issue when you makes big changes in your life. for example: changing of country where are you live, or you change marital status... in those case u have to fill special AOS form
about time of 60 days: right to say upto 60 days, it may be in 10 days or 22 days or 37 days, it depend of how many cases "in progress" in a certain period

Hi Tracy - PD is May 29th 2007

each step when you makes changing in your case it is changing of sub-status, but its automatic AOS.

Hi Hura - I actually meant to write: IV Package and ended up writing AOS package by accident.

Spoke to the lawyer on Friday and she said that the DS-260 was filled out, all fees paid and the civil documents, etc were sent to the NVC

You don't do AOS unless you are physically present in the US. If you are outside the US you should undergo consular processing.

Thanks Rock_solid, i accidentally wrote AOS package. what i mean was IV package, civil documents, etc....

as usual they ask documents to complite the case 6 month before your PD become current, 60 day means period of document processing

yea, my lawyer actually never told me that we can start compiling all the documents and send to NVC. She only told me all this once the PD became current, so I only started compiling all the documents and stuff pretty late

My case is F3 and my PD is Janruary 2002. Our case got suspended in 2007 for 5 years.

Your PD is current and you should have gotten your green card a long time ago. Contact your lawyer or the NVC. This a an F1 visa thread, there is an F3 visa thread also in this forum, maybe they can help you better.
