Hi Guys, just wondering how long it took from everyone to get IL after submitting all the necessary civil documents. NVC have received my documents on January 12 this year and they sent me a notice that it would take at least 60 days to complete. Judging how the long and painful process of contacting NVC for whatever matters, I'm expecting even longer.

Any experience so far? I'm singaporean applying for FB-1

I-130 Approved : 2004-09-01

NVC Received Case : 2004-10-01

Case Number Assigned: 2004-10-10

Received DS-261 / AOS Bill : 2014-10-01

Pay AOS Bill and IV Bill : 2014-10-10

Send AOS Package and IV Documents : 2015-01-08

Documents Received by NVC (email notification): 2015-01-12

Received Checklist : 2015-03-17

Sent Updated AOS: 2015-03-26

Scan Date of updated AOS: 2015-03-27

Hi yffar on average the process from initially applying to receiving the Interview letter takes around 7 years. Based on what you wrote I figure that your case should be completed at any time. After your case is completed they are going to send you a generic email that pretty much say that your case is completed and that a visa number would be assigned when it becomes available. Nothing is certain in this visajourney but you can get a ruff estimate by using this site:http://www.myprioritydate.com/. Just plug your priority date in and it will estimate a date. Please remember that this estimate is not coming from NVC or USCIS so its not 100% accurate. It however give you a ruff estimate of when you might get through.

Yffar under normal circumstances copies and originals of Civil documents are sent out to the nvc so that your case can be completed before you are current and on the interview date you take documents highlighted on the interview letter. I was just trying to help you dude... it wont happen again.

On another note my sister with PD July 24 2007 got her Interview letter just now :).

I am still waiting to my brother's IL, his PD is August 7, 2007.
