Sorry Hura,I did not understand...The embassy does not send nothing more with instructions like doctors address? When my husband applied for my fiancé visa, the consulate in Brazil sent me a packet by post office with paper to take to department police and others instructions. So ,now, I thought would be the same.

the fiance visa "may be an immigrant visa" but "may be not" it is visa double intentions. family-1 (2.3.4) visa is completely an immigrant visa. so for the first case it is competence of embassy, in second case it is competence of NVC

My Case:

CC: 2/10/2014

PD: 26/1/2006

Still waiting for IL.

IMHO call NVC to check what happend

Hi there ,anyone here who was originally under f2b but upgraded to f1?. Im having a problem with my category in ceac bec. Its still under f2b when in fact nvc already sent me a letter informing me that im f1 now since my petitioner naturalized. Im hoping for an interview schedule on march since my pd is current but i think it is impossible if they would not update my category.my petitioner talked to one of their agents and she told her that we sent them an opt out letter which we did not..and that she cannot do anything about it..this is really stressful???

what predictions?
your PD is 26/1/2006? if this is correct information so right now current PDs is up to 22/7/2007 (it is more the 1,5 year later your current date) so u PD is already current. Call them phone and explain this.
But probably you had changed your F category?

NVC will start giving out interview letters via email starting last week of January until first week of February.

Don't worry about living together with your BF, the embassy understands that kind of situation. It won't harm your case as long as you are single/unmarried. You can go back and get married after you entered the US using your immigrant visa.

Me and my husband was also in the same situation. He was petitioned as F2B by his dad. He stayed single and was able to immigrate with our children. We got married later on and filed F2A.

Good luck!
