Just outta curiosity, it comes through my mind.

Have you done your education degrees/certificates evaluation with any certified Credential Evaluation Authority in US??

If not, then do it immediately bcoz u need to obtain one to prove ur education equivalency to the US education system to get any job or admission in university.

I am not sure about that, to get my Indian degrees certified.. because long back only certified photo copies of the degrees were enough for Universities to roll out I-20 admission letters for Student visas... not sure about the process now followed by Univs and Employers, anyways I will need to check it up on that with my relatives and friends there.. thanks for the heads up..

My father (the petitioner) is in home country India and planning to come after few months, and I am planning to leave for US next week for only 10-12 days. Can I do Port of Entry alone when petitioner is in India ?

It doesn't matter where the petitioner is during the POE. Yes, you can go there anytime but before visa expiration date i.e. 6 months.

It will not be petitioner, it will be Principal Applicant and I am the Principal applicant and have no beneficiaries... like an F1 applicant who is divorced or widower, his children cannot directly go to US before he himself reaches US.

Others, correct me if I am wrong.

It will not be petitioner, it will be Principal Applicant and I am the Principal applicant and have no beneficiaries... like an F1 applicant who is divorced or widower, his children cannot directly go to US before he himself reaches US.

sorry it says ,the principal beneficiary should go first or in company...in any case before..when u receive ur passport , u will receive the packeage and the instructions whit that note

Ohh Neoyz...dat means you have never contacted nvc via mail in the past. If u av done dat like just write a sentence of enquiry following the format they provided to do so, they would have automatical register ur email adress nd u would av gotten ur letter now via mail...But if dis not the cause, u will av to wait as they said...or better still try contact ur local consulate.

Neoyz...i will advice u sud visit ur us consulate in ur country...by now a day will av beem schedule for ur interview, contact means is d problem..go there in person nd let then sought it out for you.

I just sent another email to them. Here is their reply.

Thanks for your email. We understand you priority date is going to be current next month, please wait for our email for the interview instructions. We appreciate your patience this time

Today I just did a visa status check on the site. (ceac.state.gov) They updated my status on 17 Dec, 2014. I think I will get IL soon.
