Congrats people for your Interviews!!

Baileys. NVC generally approach applicants when their cases about to get current within 6-7 months. It seems that you might receive first paper in upcoming 4-5 months according to the current speed of bulletin.

Thanks. I thought it was a year beforehand, and was hoping to see something in the next month or so (it would/will make me feel something is finally happening).

Oh well, I've waiting this long, so will just keep waiting :clock::whistle:

I had my interview today. These are the questions asked:

Who petitioned you?

How long has he been in the US?

When was the last time I saw him?

How many brothers and sisters do I have?

How many of them are married?

The C.O then said congratulations you are approved.

Congrats Everyone!!!

Hello Everyone, its interesting to find out that so many persons are currently in the same position as i am. I just joined the group but has been following the many many conversations. I need some assistance, dont fully understand the processing time and bulleting period. I called NVC many times and i am not getting through.

My mom filed an application in 2011, PD Dec 2011, at that time she was a permanent resident, she changed her status in 2013 and updated my application form. What is the next step

@Alliesue, for ur mom to be able to file for u as permanent resident, you must be below 21yrs by then.. So, how old are you now so to be to know where u realy belong in the categories... If u are stil below 21, then u wont av to wait long like those of us here

Dear Alliesue:

This only applies if you are over 21:

When your mother first filed for you back in 2011 and she was a LPR, you were initially put in F2B Category . Then when she became a US Citizen and notified NVC, you were automatically moved to F1 Category, which makes you one of us here ! Welcome brother (or sis)!

People in F1 Category, whose PD’s are becoming current nowadays, have been waiting for 7 ½ years. So that puts your PD of Dec 2011 … sometime in the year 2019. Yes I know! … the feeling you get in your stomach when you look at that number (2019) … Everyone here has had that feeling before!

Next for you : The waiting game! … When NVC estimates that your PD is around 1 year to 6 months from becoming current … they will send to you the “choice of agent” form … and that will be the next step in the process … You can find more info. on that and the rest of the steps here in this forum.

Congrats Everyone!!!

Thanks_ES_USA..Wow 2019!!!thats long! even though my mom is a citizen? I heard the wait is shorter wen the petitioner is a citizen

The time used to be shorter for US citizens but now F2B Unmarried Sons and Daughters (21 years of age or older) of Permanent Residents is moving much faster then f1 because just like you...many applied as F2B and the parents becomes citizen and category automatic changes to F1.

If you can convert back to F2b and wait to see which category moves faster on the near future.

Good luck.

PD: June 14, 2007

Case Completed: August 17, 2011

I/L Received: November 4, 2014

Interview: December 1, 2014
