Tomorrow September 30 my husband is going to USCIS ( I asked him to go because I am in Brazil ) for an appointment just to know why the F2B category is ahead of F1. :ranting:

No use.

I took an appointment at USCIS section at US Embassy New Delhi to gotta knw abt this opt-out rule. They didnt even aware of this rule, in fact all the time they just repeating one sentence that we are not authorized to take any action, you need to contact NVC or USCIS in US.

Answer to your curios frustrated question is simple to understand.

See, all the F2Bs or approx. 99% of them gt converted to F1 in past 2-3 years time right after the time of great retrogression which occurred in year 2011. What happened when you join a queue to buy a ticket in a movie theatre and you just realize the window next to you has a shorter queue (here F1 is that window) and later you gotta knw that all you need to obtain your petitioner's naturalization certificate to join that shorter queue. In this way, mostly people did the same trick and joined F1 and left F2B. Now, if the longer queue of a window where you were standing first (F2B) gt shorter eventually and F1 which used to be shorter in length gt stretched out by joining more applicants from F2b.

I have already discussed this some times ago that there are same people in this world waiting for their numbers to get current. Those are Unmarried Son & Daughter over 21 of age, majority have converted from F2B to F1 over the period of time. But, in previous times both categories equally bear the burden by distributing 23,500 visas in each categories and that makes 47,000 visas in a given year. But, now the situation gt changed and all of us are demanding visas out of 23,500 visas under F1 whereas other F2B's numbers gt wasted or they simply carried forward to the next category i.e. F3. This is why F2B is running faster and F1 gt stuck.

Thats a good thing to check with USCIS directly and give them the feedback about the situation, thats better than searching on the Internet for a solution.

Someone has to tell them that FB1 situation in not as desired by them, like some organisation representing the Family Based Immigrants (like AILA etc) needs to formally advice them to correct the situation and avoid wastage of F2B visas and valuable time of the FB1 applicants. :clock::help:

It seems that NVC is taking their time to schedule the interviews. Its dead silent for the family based members.
