Hi

First of all I want to tender my apology for late updating my case progress.

IL received on June 24, 2014 via email

interview held on August 28, 2014 at 07:00 am.

Interview was good, she asked me few questions about my petitioner and siblings. After that she said to me that we put your case on AP and you will receive visa within one to three months. One thing I want to share is that at the time of my sister interview, she was asked to submit DS 260(online), my sister also get IL on same date but interview was held on August 04 2014, although it was not mention in IL. Anyhow we managed to submit it and she got the visa on the same day. Due to this I have submitted DS 260 own my own in order to avoid such woeful exercise. Due to this my interview was sailing smoothly. At the end I request all of you that do not lose patient and consider that every case is different and everyone has it own luck, our cases was filed on same date by same petitioner, got IL on same date even interviewed by same person i.e everything is same except interview dates and at the end she got visa on window and I was put on AP.

@um700: Thanks for sharing your experiences, it was good to hear that at least your sister got the visa soon. Probably in pak it is a norm to go through AP for most of the guys, do keep us updated on your visa status. Congrats for completion of your Interview.. !!

I sent the same mail asking about the Opt-out rule 3 times with prescribed manner. I used to get the reply in a week or so when I inform them about address change, but this time regarding opt-out matter, they are not replying my mails. Its been over a month now and I havent gt any response over any mail. I don't know what takes them so long to review the cases, its clearly mentioned on USCIS website about this law.

Well, all the best for ur case dude!!

@Puru: Did you try calling NVC to check reg the opt-out ?

I am trying to call NVC from my mobile from India for past 3 days still everytime I call them it says the call is busy and it gets disconnected. I have tried clling them in a day about 20 times still no luck.

Did anyone else called up NVC in Sept, how is the respose, are you able to get connected to them ?

Dear Members,

I am a petitioner for my daughter, her PD is 21 april 2008. She was married therefore her status was F3 when I filed I130 for her. An approval was granted on 12 May, 2014 and I received an NOA I-797 from USICS for the approval and a statement that the case was forwarded to NVC. Unfortunately her husband died in a car accident on June 19, 2014. I called NVC and was told that I need to send them a copy of the death certificate which I did on July 8, 2014. On August 12, 2014 I received an email acknowledging the receipt of my email with the document. The email stated that the case is under review for a category change. I was further told by a representative that with the category change her processing may be years sooner. Looking at the VB the current cut off date for F1 is at 1 May 2007. What would be the prediction cut off date for PD 21 april 2008? Also, when are the members with this priority date will be receiving their COAs and AOS? Thanks you for any feed back.

Sorry to read about your son-in-law. The Priority Date movement varies every month. In last 12 months it has varied from 7 days to 30 days per month, so it is not so predictable. Oflate things have slowed down a lot, in last 6 months the average movement was 14 days per month only.

You can use these links for the predictions which are based on the past speed of the PDs.

Thank you G_One for your condolences and informational links, they are very helpful. I , least now, have some idea about approximate timings. I am still waiting to hear from NVC about their decision to change the category status from F3 to F1. I will be updating any new information as it comes along. Wishing you the very best with your case.

Just FYI if any one wants to call NVC. The telephone number is 603-334-0700. The number shows busy a couple or more times, but if you keep hitting redial you will eventually reach the recording. After selecting the option you need you can be on hold for 30 to 40 minutes. That was my experience which I wanted to share with all the members. Thank you all for sharing too.

This is really disappointing...but to be honest, I'm hardly surprised; empty promises again.

Abandoning his pledge to act by the end of summer, President Barack Obama has decided to delay any executive action on immigration until after the November congressional elections, White House officials said.

There is nothing to be disappointed about. This bill does nothing to all of us trying to get into the country legally, it is basically a bill to give amnesty to thousands of illegals while we are left out here waiting and paying more fees. The sole purpose of this bill is to turn Texas and other red states into blue states

I just can't wait to vote Republican
