t pisses me off how they want to give illegals amnesty while we're left out here to wait for years and eventually die of age. This is not fair!

Today marks my 7th year anniversary, BTW :dancing::dancing::dancing:

PD 1 Aug 2007

for me it's also a mystery why those who violated the law have more preferences than those who waiting for years

Guys,

Did anyone got the ILs, do call the NVC you should get some positive news. I dont think the system crash has any effect on movements (its only effected issuing of visas), however the FB1 has got overloaded by upgraded F2B applicants, and the FB1 queue is clogged. Unless some people take advantage of this situation and move to F2B, its a loss of valuable months for all the FB1 applicants. And huge movements in F2B Priority dates is a boon for the F2B guys.

Call the NVC soon and update us their response guys.

I've been doing some research about this issue and here's what I came up with:

From the U.S. Department of State: Consular Affairs FB page it states:

We have made significant progress and issued most of the worldwide backlog of nonimmigrant visa cases. We are working to bring the Consular Consolidated Database back to full operational capacity.

We continue to prioritize immigrant visas, adoption cases, and emergency nonimmigrant visa cases. We are printing visas for these cases with very few delays.

We are aware of a small number of visa cases still in process because of system performance issues. We are working diligently to clear those cases.

Visa applicants are advised they might still experience delays of up to one week in addition to normal processing times. Applicants should take this into consideration when making travel plans.

Please check with the embassy or consulate where you will apply for additional information.

and in response to my question on whether the PD movement will be affected by this glitch they said no this problem has no effect on PD movement.

Well I called this morning and I got to speak to a representative, they don't have an interview date for me because they did not received the information from Jamaica. I thought that I would be slick and try calling back and got another representative and I got the same response. This is weird I believe its the first month that no one has reported to have received interview letter by the 2nd of the month.

This does not look good to me I have a bad feeling about this delay.
