Interview notification: 02/Dec

Interview date: 24 Jan

Location: Lagos

N.B Please did anyone else here submit an original document to NVC? I have my original birth certificate with NVC I'd like to know if there is someone else here with something similar. Or if someone in the past could share a little knowledge on what happened at the interview?

Wow.! Lekankesh congrats. Am also Nigerian. Am surprised you've received your IL. Which means they don't really follow the visa bulletin cos the bulletin still shows 1st of Feb for F1category or maybe the Lagos immigrant visas on cue is not much for 2011. My pd is July 2011. Also got Case complete in september but 29th. Hoping to get IL early next year. But if i get IL this month, it will be a miracle. 😁😀. Wish you all the best.

Answer to your question, if your original birth certificate is with NVC they will forward all document to the embassy. So on the day of your interview it will be given to you. That was what happened to my mum years ago 

. But make photocopies too, cos they will demand for photocopies of your documents.

I know right. I was surprised to see it as well. Maybe the VB would be moving for January Bulletin. Although I read somewhere that it takes 6 month from when you are contacted to start submitting document.

Are u on nairaland? Its a forum like this too, but for Nigerians mostly.

Thanks, I just wanted to be sure. Because they keep saying bring original document and they did not make mention of cases where your original document is with them.

It means, that January VB will move forward at least till 8th of March 2011.

Congrats Kim. Still waiting on my passport. Had to submit a new police certificate yesterday but I should be good for next week.
