Wrong, Elsie. The fact that he has a pending immigrant visa being processed by NVC belies any proof of strong ties to home country. I'm speaking from experience.

2 times i received tourist visa after my i130 was approved.

the decision of the visa officer in each case individually, if you can prove that you do not intend to immigrate illegally then there is a chance, but pay attention that in countries with high emigration rates to the United States a chance to get a visa decreases.

Mcqueen, what is your PD date? It is interesting that you did not get the standard response, which goes something like, "We are currently processing 08 march 2007".

I thought so too Cassanoa. They would normally say something like what you said so it probably means that I am going to be current 'hopefully'. My pd is April 6th. You should definitely get ready with pd being much closer;-) All the best to you!

I was on the phone for almost 2 hours. My first call was 45 mins, and the call got dropped. So, I called again and I was on hold for another 50mins to hear that I got an interview date, sweet!! 2 weeks movement guys...

At first I called NVC but couldn't connect through the line due to they were out of working hour. And later I checked email, the IL was sent to my email.

You guys should keep on checking your emails for the ILs, they are sending out....

Congrats Cassonova and Little_Pig !!!

Should be a 2+ weeks movement.. however people till end April & May 2007 PD could check regarding the IL with NVC.. we never know, just be optimistic..
