Well....I called today, everything is perfect...everything is complete but something happened  and the papers didnt arriver or I dnt know, and im still on F2B categort. They asked me to send the papers of my dad's citizenship again, ASAP, so they can help me out and get me an interview.  The lady was super nice, and she said that If I was on F1 category, they would've called me months ago.

So....fml :( Im sending an email to the lawyer as we speak....in order for her to send this documents ASAP

Guys I need some advice .... So I contact the lawyer today and she told me, she did send everything...but for some reason they haven't upgraded me ( Somehow she should've double check...). She told me that now that the F1 Category seems to be going backwards, I should keep my F2B category cuz it seems its going faster.

However when I checked the Visa Bulletin, the F2B Category hasn't moved since July, and it will remain the same during September. However In the F1 category, at the end of the Visa Bulletin of September it says that Starting their fiscal year ( October )  their priority date will return to December, which is good as well, since I will be included in the dates.

So what do you suggest I do? ....Should I send my dad's citizenship documents ASAP, and try to get me an interview...or just wait in the F2B category?

This seems to be pretty confusing....and I no longer seem to know what to do...I just want this to be over and be with my family.

Thank you :(

Its up to you want you want to do. Your lawyer is wrong, obviously the bulletin went back to december or we wouldn't be getting date. Fb1 will be moving faster in the coming months. Everything will be moving again as its a new fiscal year now. if you don't get it now you'l definitely get it next month.

You are right, I'm gonna talk to her tomorrow and im gonna send the documents they are asking me ASAP. The sooner the better since they are still on my Priority Date, hopefully it will remain that way till my documents arrived.

Thank you so much! :)

This is so frustrating sometimes ....

Welcome and good luck to you.

I think sometimes we forget that people from certain countries have an even longer wait than us.

Yes the waiting time for philippines is very long. My older sister was included in our petition but she has aged out. She's now 24. I'm already 20. Goodthing we have our sched now 🙏🏻

I changed my category from f2b to f1 back in april.

It was by email. I sent my mother's naturalization cert. It was changed within 3 weeks. I got an email to that effect. My category on ceac website took a longer time to change but it eventually did.

Here's the format I used.

Subject- my case number

Hello,
I am the petitioner/applicant and my name is ........  My date of birth is ......

My daughter's name is.....  She is the beneficiary and her date of birth is ..... Her NVC case number...

Please l would like to change her visa category from F2B to F1.

Attached is my naturalization certificate.
Thanks
I suggest you send this email asap so that your category can change before the next interview rolls out.

Hello,

I was wondering did your mother send this from her email, or you did it on your own? To which mail address should i send it.....so my lawyer keeps saying they sent it, but they wouldn't recognize it.

So i'm going to do it by myself.  Thank you so much, for the help.

My mother sent the email and it was sent to AskNVC@state.gov.

I think you can send it yourself.

You can send it yourself.  Just make sure to include the information that is needed in the email such as your's and petitioner's name, DOB etc. or response would be delayed.
