aliwaqas707, you have to call NVC 1st and ask for your Invoice ID, they will tell you, so you could log in and ask for your interview date as well.

You received email stating that there is no visa available a year ago, when your PD wasn't current, but it has moved much forward. Guys are getting IL with PD September 2010. So, visa is already available for you.

Or you can send an inquiry(like I did), asking "how can I expedite processing of my case":

https://secureforms.travel.state.gov/ask-nvc.php

They replayed, that my interview date is scheduled and after that I received an official letter about my appointment.

I just filed the inquiry form like you did. now hoping that NVC will reply soon.

It took 3 months to review my docs(NVC received on 22November and completed the case on 22February). So your case should be completed by the end of March.

@ Khadija we can only wait as there is no other option. i received last email from NVC on 22nd March 2016 which states that

We received the petitioner's proof of citizenship and confirmed the visa classification of your petition.  Please see the new visa classification below.

Due to the numerical limitations on immigrant visa issuance prescribed by law, this petition is not eligible for further processing at this time. The NVC will keep this petition until an immigrant visa becomes available. The petitioner, principal applicant, or attorney of record will be notified when this petition is eligible for further processing. The principal applicant should not make any firm plans such as disposing of property, giving up jobs, or making travel arrangements at this time. For additional information, review the explanation of numerical limitations on immigrant visa issuance below.

I think this means that there is no visa number available for F1 category. but i am frustrated that my PD is 18th Jan 2010 and some guys have PD of Sep and Oct 2016 and they have received their IL dates.

I think you should call them, nvc advises that if you havnt heard from them after a year you should call them. No emails because from experience sometimes the emails just get a generated response. Call them and ask for your invoice number and also tell them your case is completed and your date is current. That lawyer ain't doing #######.

I agree, NVC takes 1-2 weeks to replay back. Calling them you are getting answer right away.

Very interesting:)

Imagine when I got my visa interview in the F1 category it was F1 that was behind by about a year.

Yeah, I think now everyone will stop opt-outing to F2B, so soon it'll slow down.

Thank you for great wishes:)
