How Long Until Receive 2nd Notice of Action for I-130

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had information on how long it usually takes between receiving the first Notice of Action for the I-130 petition for spouse and the 2nd Notice of Action along with application packet. I'm petitioning for a IR-1 Immigration Visa for my wife (Taiwanese) and we received our first NOA on Jan 10. We have yet to receive the second NOA and forms packet so I was wondering what the average time was. Thanks! :)

The process is about a year and two weeks.

Service Center - Texas

I -130 sent - October 26, 2013

NOA 1 - November 07, 2013

RFE - May 06, 2014

RFE Hard Copy Received - May 12, 2014 (2 passport size photo for the petitioner)

RFE Sent - May 15, 2014

NOA 2 - May 29, 2014

National Visa Center

NVC Received - 18/06/2014

Fill out DS - 261 Form & submit - 08/07/2014

Pay AOS Fee - 25/07/2014

Send AOS Package - 02/08/2014

NVC Receive AOS Package - 04/08/2014

Receive IV Bill - 28/08/2014

Send IV Package - 28/08/2014

Pay IV Bill - 30/08/2014

Case Complete - October 21, 2014

Interview Date - December 05, 2014 rescheduled from December 29, 2014

Interview Result - Approved

There's no packet coming. Your petition will stay in initial review until your petitions is adjudicated. Be sure to register on the uscis.gov site so you get your notifications via text and emails.

And right now you seriously are looking at a 8 to 12 month wait at best.. They are just looking at may 2013 petitions just to give you an idea.

I'm sorry to inform you that I just got my 2nd NOA one month ago and the average wait is 8-12 months before your case moves from "initial review" to "decision". Just be patient and things will go from there.

You should receive your NOA2 around the end of the year. Pending any issues and or RFE's

I just received my 2nd notice on 19FEB14. About 10 months after first notice.

I could be within 6 months, there is no rhyme nor reason for it. Some people get their NOA2 after a few months while others have to wait almost a year but the average is about 6-7 months. Then allow 3 months for state and consular processing.
