Thank you for your input. I will call both the USCIS tomorrow morning Monday, and my lawyer as well to see what are the steps that need to be taken from now.

I will keep you posted as well.

Note : I did not receive any mail or email from NVC, the choice of agent got active online, and since I check it everyday, that's how I saw it.

Should I expect any mail from NVC about COA ?

Everyone will get the mail from NVC about COA...

Good Luck

Not Necessarily. But don't buy the "two-way airline ticket for the main applicant" as the airlines will send the passengers data to the DHS and if they see the main applicant return data, then DHS assumes you have abandoned the GC process. So, Just buy one-way ticket and at the POE, they will check for any changes in the address for sending the "Permanent Resident Card". The card can be tracked through the ELIS website with a Courier tracking option...generally it make not take a month's time...Once u receive the Card, the main applicant(your Mom) can travel back and beneficiaries can stay back..For PR card, no need to go anywhere for signing, just a simple mail...but for SSN, if you don't receive within a month, theny you should approach the nearest SSA(Social Security Administration) office with your PR card / I-551 Visa stamp in your area.

Good Luck

Hi, are you sure return ticket (two way) will creat problem. I already purchased a return ticket and already paid the GC fee in ELIS.

I will be in US for two months and if I don't get my GC then extend the stay time period. Please advice.

YES...it will create a big problem for you...immediately cancel all of your return tickets and buy new one-way tickets only...buddy, u r going to get GREEN-CARD, and US assumes that u r going to stay in their country forever...... if they come to know at the point of entry that u r entering US with return tickets and also intend to get a greencard, then they might ask you to leave from the point of entry.......this is not to scare u, but this is a fact........many have faced this kind of situation....US is not going to write this kind of point in their "points to be taken care of" or "laws" but each and every lawyer would advise u to enter US with one-way ticket if u r entering with an immigrant visa......

hi, soroure, there's a question. I went to the first link that you have given and the petitioner name is still hiding, but a few days earlier I actually had seen it showed my petitioner's name when people said had received the COA , and then I haven't seen it anymore. What happened? Is that because the child who's name in the case is over 21?

My PD 11.15.2009, and I haven't see my COA .

should I call the NVC?

3Q

There two places here are the links:

https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx

here you enter your case number and your invoice number.

At first you will see the petitioner name, and then when the name is not their anymore, it mean your COA is active and you can proceed to check that go to this link.

https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

PD 15/11/2002

Case completed on 23/11/2015

Got case completed email on 1/12/2015

Got interview letter on 12/30/2015

I don't think this is correct.

My friend's sister and family came from India two month ago. Her daughter stayed here for a week and went back because she wanted to finish her last year collage there.

They had a return ticket for her.

Go for it... i have not yet received any email or mail from NVC but i have completed my COA...many of my friends have completed the form before receiving any official email.......u may proceed to start the DS-261 form and complete it.... NVC will send us an email this week... But there is no problem in completing COA before we receive any official email from NVC as we already have our invoice id number and can access our case online on ceac website.........when the official email arrives, it would contain aos fees invoice, so at that time you can pay ur aos fees $120.....don't wait now, complete it as soon as possible...

i have not received any mail or email from nvc but in the site the part of coa is written start application and it is active

now my question is that can i fill it or i should wait for nvc email/mail??
