I have a small tattoo on my back and I will be having my medical in couple months..Does anyone know if this will cause any problem? Do you think they will care? or Do I need to get this removed?

Nope, won't be an issue. Doubt they even care. This has been a discussion before maybe a year or so ago, some doing the medical had a fair number of tattoos.

Are you serious with that question? This is not the puritanical 1700s. It's only an issue if the tattooist used a dirty needle and infected you with Hep C. I'm covered in tattoos and never even gave it a second thought regarding my medical. All they care about is if your health, or lack there of, will be a drain on the US system and that you don't spread communicable diseases. My US fiance is also tatted up and I can assure you the US government won't be revoking his passport due to the fact he's got a flower on his leg or skull on his back. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about.

They will check for anything that would appear not natural on your body during the physical exam. I overheard somebody during my medical at SLEC that she was asked where & when she got her tattoo. Not sure if this would mean additional vaccination or more blood tests. But don't worry, she did pass her medical. :)
