Hello!

My fiance arrived here on his K-1 Visa on November 1st, 2013. We were legally marriedn on the 14th, and then finally had all of his documents ready to send for the "Adjustment of Status" on January 7th, 2014. Our NOA was delayed in reaching us because of a post office issue (but we received the e-mail and text message notification that it had been accepted/received). The NOA had to be resent on February 3rd.

Coincidentally, on February 6th, we checked his case status on the USCIS website and his application for Adjustment of Status for Permanent Residency had moved all the way to the "Card Production" stage and it said his card was sent in the mail on February 3rd. We never recieved any notification of a biometrics appointment or an interview date.

He did just recently go through all of the biometrics/interview in October 2014 for his K-1 visa, so we thought maybe we got lucky and he didn't have to do it again? However, it's now February 25th and the card has still not shown up in the mail, and we never got the e-mail/text message that it had been approved.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal? Trying to decide if we got really lucky or if something was messed up in the process - thanks!

It is highly unlikely that you got approved within such a short time and without any biometrics. I vote for a computer glitch. Their online tracking system is unreliable (my cases for example were all stuck in "Case not found" status until they got approved)

Call USCIS, talk to a tier 2 and see what they say.

I had the exact same thing with the mail ending up at the wrong post office, so they returned it and the USCIS had to resend the NOA1.

After that we had the same message on our case status which said card/document production, which only meant that the appointment letter for the biometrics was on its way.

We received it a few days after that and a week after receiving the appointment letter I had my biometrics appointment.

It is probably the same thing for you, that you'll receive an appointment letter for the biometrics any day now. Good luck.
