Advance Parole, how many days for trip?

Hi, I am petitioning my husband for a green card. We need to make a trip back to his country. It may be up to 4-5 months as we have some business to finish up and assets to sell. In section 3 of the I-131, is it ok to put 120 days? Seems like a lot. We might be able to do it all in 90 days, but I'm not sure that will be enough.

Hi the AP is suppose to be for emergency travel while you are waiting for the GC & it can take up to 90 days to get it in your hands, but by the time it does arrive you my have gotten the GC or have your appointment to see a IO about your AOS. If you did get the AP before the GC unless it was an emergency it would be better to Wait till after your AOS appointment before you travel.

November 13th Oath ceremony 3pm now a citizen

November 14th applied for my passport 

November 25th Received my passport 

November 27th Received my naturalization certificate back

November 28th Updated my social security records

Yeah, I'd say you might as well wait for the GC to be issued - then you can travel all you want! It seems to take almost as long to process an AP application as it does to issue a GC!
