Actually there are many questions and answers pertaining to the process prior to the NVC in the more than one year old thread. If Dave and Mae use the Manila timelines in that thread it will give them a better idea of the times between NOAs and Packets and interviews. Ken

The Manila Embassy information won't help in regard to USCIS's processing of the fiance petition - it will only provide you much needed information regarding the stage after I-129F approval/NVC when the petition has arrived in Manila.

It can take many many months for I-129F approval. Many waited for 5+. Hopefully your wait will not be that long, but certainly you should count on 3-4 months to be realistic.

Don't worry Mae, you can get a lot of help here and we like your posts. :)

Thanks Gary... and thanks everybody!

Mae

Hello Mae!!! Yeah, the wait can be pretty bad. For everybody. Maybe that is why some people "snapped" a bit at ya for wondering about the 3 week wait. Hang in there....the reward is there. And yes, everybody here has everybody else's sympathy because of the pathetic process we all have do endure to simply be with our beloved one. All the "proof" and "paperwork" and "RFE" and "evidence" Enough to drive any of us crazy. Does somebody really read all that stuff? :P

But....I do see some posts about people that get the visa then state "the marriage is not going to happen" or something like that. I think this is why we have to work so hard to prove our relationships are "true" and even then, sometimes they are not.

Good Luck on your journey and remember you have friends and sympathizers here even if some people get a little snappy. :innocent:

 That's why I apologized for what I posted. I forgot that I was not the only one in this journey of life. I know that it was too early for me to get impatient but sometimes, when loneliness starts creeping up on you, you'd begin to question why life is so unfair. :crying: Long distance relationship is not very easy especially when you both love each other too much. Anyway, I'm just so glad to be here at VJ because more than anyone else, VJers here fully understand how I feel and it helps to think that I can get the symphaty and solace that I always look for whenever I need one (even if they get snappy sometimes).

Mae,

The best plan is to find things to keep you busy while waiting for the process. You can get a general time frame from looking at other timelines from your consulate, as others have said. However, you never know when things will take a turn. This process is just so unpredicatable. I have read that Manilla is slow (by comparison) to get the interviews scheduled. However, we seemed to fly from submission of the petition to interview and now seem to be forgotten in AP land. (I know we're not, but watching others pass us by makes it seem that way). I have found that by busying myself the time seems to go faster. Good luck with your journey.

Thanks maggieNomar! Good thing I am employed right now and I have something to keep me busy everyday. My David advised me the same thing and he said it's too early to be a worrywart since our NOA1 is only 3 weeks old. I can't believe my sweetheart called me that way .

Good luck with your journey as well!

Mae
