Help with I-693 form and medical exam

Hello VJ,

We got married today and is preparing the documents for adjustment of status but we are confused with the I-693 as it is asking for a Civil Surgeon to filled out a medical form. We called a few surgeons and they are all saying I will still need to do a full medical with the exception of the vaccinations. My medical was done at Mobay Hope, Jan 12, 2014.

We dont see where it makes sense to do a full medical again after Kingston already approved us with the medical provided by Mobay Hope.

Does anyone experience this or have any info?

You dont need medical. Turn in your DS 3025 with your paperwork, medical is good for one year.

The desk help at the civil surgeons don't know anything. I had to call 3 times and go through barely English speaking desk help to finally make an appointment. Going to cost us $160 just for a ###### Tetanus booster.

You can get the tetanus booster anywhere, you just need the civil surgeon to transcribe the vaccinations onto the I-693.

Ok, so say I get it elsewhere, what do I need to give to the surgeon so that he will transcribe it?

Well, went to the Civil Surgeon today. After an hour of driving to the nearest one we get there. According to the prior medical exam we only needed a Tetanus booster. Come to find out we also needed an MMR (she had the MM part back and Australia, and then later had the R, and it was never documented properly) and then they told us, after we got there, that she would need a flu shot. Of which they had none. Our only option was to go across a busy highway to the CVS across the road, on her sprained and still healing ankle, and hope they had them there. After about 70 FML moments and $250 later we finally got the done so we can send this damn packet off tomorrow.

You do not need the I-693 to file AOS, include a copy of the DS-3025. I also suggest you print out a copy of page 4 of the I-485 instructions and highly section 7 c then staple it to the copy of the DS-3025 , some adjudicators are not well trained.
