Anyone in VJ that had sent in the Package 3 in November receive Package 4 yet? .............. Just wonder how long will it take to receive Package 4....... For my case on Package 3, I called them and they said they had sent my Package 3 on Dec 1 and my Fiancee just receive the Package on Jan 1, 2007 and the package was dated Dec 27, 2006. Just wonder what the hell they are doing at the Consulate? I called them yesterday to check if they have received my Package 3 and how long will it take to get Package for and they said 3 months........ Any info and update will be really helpful.

I have some information that I got from the consulate yesterday. I dont know if its new to everyone or not, but it was new to me. They told me that they only conduct K-1 visa interviews around the middle of each month, not everyday like I thought. They told me to call back in the middle of January to find out if my fiancee was going to be scheduled for middle of February or March(assuming March if she wasnt scheduled at all.) We submitted our packet 3 on November 15th to the consulate. I hate to say it, but I wouldnt hold my breath for packet 4 if what she told me was actually true, though how unreliable they are it may be totally different. I'm really hoping that my fiancee's is in February especially for tax reasons. They also told me that around March they will start wanting 2006's w-2's and such. Anyone hear anything different?

Hi ! Interesting conjecture on the dates, a look at the interview & packet 4 dates on the VJ timeline only suggests a tendency toward the 2nd half of the month, but not absolute.

Our packet 3 arrived this week dated 12/27 although we were told it was mailed 12/05. So obviously there is a disconnect in the consulate office. We dont know how they are organized or how people are assigned. Even more surprising the DS-230 included in the packet was one that expired in 2004. They probably re-enter the data on the valid DS 230 ( incl part 2 ) when the interview is passed.

I believe a 2-3 month wait after packet 3 returns seems the norm. But requesting info after week 6 might help. Just my opinion.

I gave her a copy of my Tax Return for 2005. If you don't have it you can request a transcript to IRS and it will take over 2 weeks for you to get it.

here is the link to the form for IRS transcript.

Right.. thats what messed me up.. I waited 30 min to get a hold of someone on the phone and find out what this " perferred souce of income" was. I thought it was some special paper work I had to submit with some stamp from them.. but when I talked to them over the phone and read off the paper the the HCMC gave my girl. They told me its just a small transcirpt that is copy and mailed out.. the exact same ones I got for the first I-864 I sent in Package 3. I had to send in the last 3 years with w-2's and now they are asking for the last years again.. what a waste of time. Me being stressed out and running out of time I didnt take her word for it.. I drove down to a local IRS office (no didnt see W. Snipes) and talked to a guy there.. He told me when people come in asking for that info he sends them to a phone to call the main number and have the paper work sent. Thats it.. nothing stamped.. nothing special.. just a half of page of what you earned and Taxed... There seems to be 2 I-864 forms and I'm just going to do both and get it noterized.. I'm tired of these games.

you can call 1-800-829-1040 (option 1,1,3 I think and enter your SSN and just wait and wait for someone to pick up and jsut tell them what year transcripts you want.. all free.. good luck...

Yeah, though I think that some of the folk here file for different visas, k-3's for example....I really have no idea, the uncertainty is just sufficating, eh? I hope they do the interviews in Feb before Tet. I have a Feb 15th flight home that I probably wont be able to change because of Tet and popular demand to fly to Asia. We'll see.

For our case, we try to call/email consulate after send out package 3 30days and received no updated, no work on our case yet - interview day from 2 to 4 month. then we waited to day 60 and called and received scheduled interview day, that was day 101 after they package 3 received. That was anxious waiting.....

For vacination and medical examination, they always ask interview letter before doing that.

Vacination need letter only + money (vary)

Medical examination need interview letter (origine and copy) + passport + 2 passport photograph + vacination sheet (done above) + 75USD :)

Goodluck to all :)

KIMI,

Thanks you so much for helping to get to the point of waiting for Package 4. I'm so happy right now that I finally able to submit Package 3. I can wait this long, another 2 months for Package 4 no problems. I hopes we all get some where between Jdogciso and you, Kimi. This event has made my new year wonder.
