  1. 1. If you were Emperor of the World, would you allow convenience store owners to put up a "No Homosexuals" or "No Adulterers" sign on their door?

    • Sure. Homosexuals and adulterers can shop elsewhere. That's competition. That's the free market. That's the American way. Murka!
    • No. Absolutely not. They should not be allowed to discriminate against homosexuals or adulterers just like they can't discriminate against black people or Jews.
  2. 2. Followup to Q1 - What if the homosexual and/or adulterer in question was engaging in open displays of immoral behavior?

    • That does not change my answer to the question.
    • That does change my answer to the question. I will explain below.

Time flows in one direction only, so being progressive is intrinsic to the universe.

What you say is true of everyone. Everyone is capable and practicing of wantonness when it comes to sex. You can kiss the 50s good bye...

Moral decay need not be accepted. It can be pushed back if people of faith unite together and pass common sense legislation, not like the one being discussed here of course.

Moral is an individual value. You can stop what you consider moral decay at any moment you want, for you alone control your life. You do not need any laws to live according to the moral values you deem appropriate for yourself. If you are against homosexuality, don't practice it. If you consider gambling immoral, don't do it.

That anyone should presume to legislate their morals on others is laughable.

Morality is subjective, whereas the law is not. You would be on the wrong side of history to presume that one should dictate the other, even though they sometimes seem to coincide.

We're all fish who share the same pond, when other fish make a mess of our shared environment, we all suffer.

There is simply too much sex in this pond. Put your clothes on, people.

I think we should ban children's movies where people kiss, like Sleeping Beauty. It's very offensive.

I was watching a Sesame Street video with Katy Perry dressed as a princess. It was her and Elmo. She was showing cleavage and a lot of the comments on YouTube were from concerned parents who were unhappy about the display. Don't these parents deserve an environment where kids can be raised safely and away from sexually suggestive images and attire?

Yes they do.

I think we should ban bikinis and all swim wear. We should have sex-separated beaches and all wear a large and drapey bathing costume to swim.

We should also ban the Olympics, because those people wear skin tight outfits. I can see their bodies.

How about Aladdin and the scantily clad Jasmine?!?!?!

That's not "family friendly." You can't post that in the family-friendly pics thread.

We should ban the internet and TVs. They are both vehicles trough which our lives are contaminated with such filth! And while we're at it a good book bonfire should keep the smores going....
