So, after pressure from the elk hunters, and in order to boost elk numbers, Idaho Department of Fish and Game reintroduced the hunting of wolves in the State. Now, since the apex predator numbers have been reduced, the elk numbers have skyrocketed, resulting in elk becoming a nuisance to farmers and ranchers, causing crop and property damage, resulting in "depredation hunts" of elk to control their population.

Is it just me, or is the whole situation messed up?

On a better note, the Federal Government has put off a decision on whether or not to remove the Grey Wolf from the Endangered Species list, for further research to be carried out.
