Ready to send I-130, few questions.

Hi everyone, I'm glad I found this forum. I getting ready to send out CR-1 visa application and need to ask a few questions before I do.

Please help look over the checklist on I-130 package checklist in Guides section (hopefully everything on that list is up to date). Very appreciate all your help, if I'm adding too many items or missing something please let me know. Thanks!

1. Payment as required by USCIS - Personal check $420.

2. Cover Letter. Should include a description of what your are petitioning for (I-130), a table of contents (list everything in the packet). - Will list all items once finalized

3. Form I-130: Petition for Alien Relative - I-130 Completed.

4. Copy of the full Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen or a copy of ALL pages of the US Citizen's passport. This is used to establish citizenship. - ALL pages of the US Citizen's passport.

5. A copy of petitioner's proof of naturalization. (If applicable) - Copy of my naturalization certificate.

6. A copy of petitioner's proof of permanent residency. (If applicable) - Copy of my driver's license (front & back).

7. (no longer needed)

8. A copy of your marriage certificate (If not in English then again get a translation) - Copy of marriage certificate (Thai & English) - I also include copy of my wife change of last name certificate (Thai & English).

11. G-325A filled out by the US Citizen, signed and dated. - G-325A signed by me.

12. One passport-type photo (see specification) of the petitioner. - One passport type photo of me.

13. G-325A filled out by the non-US Citzen spouse signed and dated. - G-325A signed by my wife - I also include wife's birth certificate and certificate of name change (first name changed after birth)

14. One passport-type photo (see specification) of the non-US Citzen spouse. - One passport type photo of wife.

15. Evidence of a bonafide marriage - This includes photos, wedding photos, join bank account in Thailand, text & phone logs, copy of plane tickets.

03/14/14 - I130 delivered
03/17/14 - NOA1 received, case routed to Nebraska Service Center
09/03/14 - NOA2 received, case sent to NVC
09/10/14 - Package shipped to NVC
10/01/14 - Package scanned at NVC (no case number yet)
10/15/14 - Received case number and invoice number
10/24/14 - Complete and submitted DS-261
11/03/14 - Received AOS bill and IV bill
11/05/14 - Paid both AOS bill and IV bill
11/06/14 - Complete and submitted DS-260

01/14/15 - Email received with interview date for 02/18/15

02/18/15 - Interviewed and APPROVED!!
02/21/15 - Visa and passport received in the mail.

04/15/15 - POE

01/15/17 - I-751 sent to CSC.

02/09/17 - NOA Received, conditional resident status extended 1 year.

03/09/17 - Biometric completed.

03/01/18 - I-551 stamped at local office.

04/05/18 - Receive notice that case transferred to local office.

08/03/18 - Received RFE notice in the mail.

09/10/18 - Mailed out RFE package.

09/13/18 - RFE packaged received at Nebraska office.

09/21/18 - Status changed to "New Card Is Being Produced".

09/24/18 - Status changed to "Case was Approved".

Only need a copy of your passport OR a copy of your Naturalization Certificate, not both.

Copy of proof of Permanent Residency only applies to petitioners who are green card holders (i.e., they have to submit a copy of their green card). It does not apply to you and your drivers license is definitely not required or necessary.

February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
